He's still exploring trade options for Tracy McGrady, but no deal seems likely until McGrady gets back on the floor and is able to prove he's still capable of playing at a high level. http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2009/11/rockets_need_to.html
So based on that lil paragraph it could be McGrady and Dorsey for ?????. Who knows but let the rockets trade McGrady and i guarantee you he is going to go off.
i wish a trade happens fast so we could hear all the crap that is going on behind the scenes. we know tmac will say it. and i'm sure someone from the organization will leak it. so let's have it.
Same wish here, either play him or trade me. This is ridiculous, the Rockets organization are enclosed all this stuff and the wild guesses just keep spreading. But one more quick question, Dorsey and McGrady for whom in return to fit into this lineup along with the future coach's play around Yao when he's back into action next year? That possibility just appears pretty low to me at this point.
I disagree. McGrady maybe but we all know what the organization is going to say. We thank him for his time here blah blah blah he was a great talented player blah blah blah but we decided to go elsewhere. We want to thank him for his services and good luck with the rest of his career. McGrady will probably say I was ready i wanted to play but they had other options and here I am in where ever he may end up. They are honestly handling the situation real poorly. The 23rd came n went by. He obviously had a full practice ( so they say ) with the team and nothing happened. McGrady said he was ready to play on the 18th but decided to wait. Now its November 28th 2009. No site of McGrady yet. Why not?? The Rockets are obviously struggling and need help. Is Adelman's ego that big that he wont give him a shot and see how far he has progressed?? something else is probably happening behind doors.
that's why it's up to tmac's play. if he shows he can play the rest of the season at a high level without missing any games, some teams will bite on a trade. we need size obviously. yao isn't going to be back to his old self, so any deal that provides us with good size is great. or we get another playmaker. or a mid-first round draft pick is good.
He said he does expect to make his season-debut "soon," either this week or on the four-game road trip Nov. 29 through Dec. 5. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/6735829.html actually mcgrady also "predicted" he'll play either this week (which has passed) or this upcoming road trip (which is coming up). yet nobody is making a big deal out of it like 11/18. weird huh?
I think people have learned not to pay much attention to his predictions/expectations. The Rockets are calling the shots, and until they say otherwise he's out indefinitely.
Maybe he will maybe he won't i guess we all have to wait and see. Tomorrow we play the Thunder. Lets see if he suits up. IDK if its me but i found it strange that lately he hasn't been on the bench. Maybe he has and i just didn't see him but i know they usually show him.
How do we know he doesn't have a timetable but they are just making sure McGrady doesn't feel pressured to rush it back?
Although he was in the building, he has not been on the bench the past 3 games. i'm assuming he is training to speed up the timetable.
If that was the case, they'd tell him in private to reassure him but keep it out of the public to keep the pressure off. That evidently has not happened.
If thats the case then at least we know he is dying to get on the court and help his teammates out. It would be nice though to have him play tomorrow night then see how he feels the next day. Then have him play the back to back to determine if he is really back. Would have have any problems going all out or anything. You can do all you want in practice but when it comes to the real thing its a different situation for him. I hope Morey and RA sees that
That's quite obvious like you said, but the feasibility to get a deal that involves getting the big in return done is still remote. I'm not, well, actually pinning my hope on Yao's return, he's pretty much done and only few fuels left in his tank. If the organization plans to play run-n-gun, then stick with it and bring back our dynamite player. If not, what you suggested up there has gotta be leaked out publicly by now, even a behind-the-closed-doors deal would show its trace somewhere. Oh, btw, DM's attempt to get a playmaker this offseason has been a failure seeing as Trevor, who's supposed to embrace a role of much magnitude here in H-town, has proven us wrong and convinced me, I guess some of you out there would think the same, that he's pretty much as a spot up shooter like his Lakers role.
What are you getting at there, what is the difference between now and the 18th? Because he's since had the scheduled MRI?
I don't know why so many guys here don't want T-Mac to play. I mean, our chances of making the playoffs with our current team are not very high so why not just try to see how good T-Mac is? If he comes back strong, good for us, if not, we at least know that it is over.
I completely agree. And at the very least T-mac will attract double teams and will facilitate the offense better. Play T-mac!
