When will Reed be placed into the starting lineup?

He’s so bad though

 

I still think Reed should have played a lot more last year and I think he should have started this season...I think all the other starting lineups with double big and Okogie out there should be situational things that are used during the course of a game as needed.

I don't think these lineups should be staples.

BUT....I am also fine with Ime making Reed earn it....

I am fine with how things are going right now, but I do think to get the best version of this years team Reed needs to keep improving and he eventually needs to take on the starting PG role.

 

Also Reed gets more time initially in games against bench players which will help odds of success. If he plays well like he has the last few he then gets time against other team’s starters as well.

 

How is he supposed to win 6MOTY if he becomes a starter?

 

I don't know for sure, but I think our starting unit before the first rotation has not lost. No use to switch that up. Reed is cooking off the bench. Increase his minutes situationally as the year goes on, but he should come off the bench. That doesn't mean he won't overlap with Amen and Sengun at times, but right now, Ime takes out Sengun and Amen around the 6 minute mark in the first quarter. If he wants to rest Sengun and Amen together then Reed needs to the ball handler. Logically you would think that if Okogie gets hurt Reed would start, but if that is the case then we have to get another ball handling guard to come off the bench. Holiday sucks, so please don't say he is the sub.

 

Reed will start eventually. When depends on how fast he learns to play solid defense.

He just needs to focus on consistency and continuing to play well. It doesn’t matter.

As soon as Okogie's 3PT% normalizes, yes.

At the moment Okogie is shooting amazingly well and playing better defense than Reed is capable of. He's earned it.

 

CP3 is getting DNP’d. We should have him come here on a buyout and mentor Reed and Amen.

 

Let Reed enjoys his comfort zone as the 6th man till he really settles down consistently. No need to rush him to become a starter, risking his consistency and team chemistry. If relevant, just increase his minutes even more than josh okogie. Or experiment him to play in the closing minute.

 

Until he plays defense with his feet instead of just his hands

 

I wonder if he’s really declined that much to where he’s unplayable. I love the idea of him making a last run with us. Unfinished business

 

Yeah, i wouldn’t want him to take any of their minutes, but he’d be the perfect guy to have if we need him.

 

Will he replace his rebounding and solid defense. Idiotic comment. His only option is to displace Okogie which is unreasonable right now with no other ball handlers on the bench.
