Cyber said there "are some" in the organization pulling for Kelvin to be brought in as head coach next season. Harden is extremely close to Sampson.

Complaining about this is a waste of time. He won't be replaced until the offseason. An offseason which can't get here soon enough.

No point in firing him now.

he won't, he is only the interim coach, once the last game is finished, he is done as head coach

I might think that if Stephen Curry had a say about who were to be the coach, Mark Jackson will probably still be the coach of that team. I think it is possibly an extremely bad idea having the superstar have major input on who becomes the coach.

Toronto fired it's ENTIRE coaching staff, except for the head coach, this summer, look at them now. We did the opposite and nothing changed. Fire Morey

I don't know why they just don't hire a new coach already.

Can you technically "fire" an interim coach? By definition, you are only there until they decide on a permanent coach.

Are you saying that every team that doesn't win a title should fire their entire coaching staff?

Here's hoping GS wins this year so we can hire Pop off the scrap heap! Or Brad Stevens!

Seriously though, the Rockets were in the Western Conference Finals last year.

To answer the question, they will not fire JB, they just won't renew his contract. LOL

Yeah I actually wouldn't hate Sampson as the coach. Not my first choice, but he wouldn't be a terrible option.

What if I told you JB is the coach Morey wants moving forward into the next season.

I don't even think Popovich would coach this roster.

Pop wouldn't assemble it but best believe he'd coach them to their max potential

He would probably turn James into the most well behaved player ever. Great coaches command respect, we saw it with Coach K and Thibs on Team USA, even James Harden and Cousins both played hard on both ends and fit into their system. If we hire Sampson it will be just another friend of Harden who will not hold him truly accountable. I hope we get a real coach like Messina.

Team USA system really. what player on that team didn't play well when they were killing teams by wide margins. Even Faried looked like a monster.

Harden spent last season looking like he was truly a + defender on this same team. This was without Dwight there to protect the rim. He was out there competing because he still had the World Championship atmosphere ingrained in his DNA. One year removed from Team USA he was back to Haren. Well that's what happens when you get into an environment when there is no one there to challenge you. There is no Kevin Durant or Paul George here to play you hard every day in practice. There is no Thibs to tell you you're lazy.
