I just woke up and looked out my window *blink blink* What is that light coming from the sky? I'm unfamiliar with the brightness and dryness of this day. :)

Man, last night was bad. I was coming home from work at about 8:30. Then I realized I left my other pair of shoes at work. So instead of making a U-turn I take a different path, along 290. that freeway was flooded. I picked up my shoes and went home. I live near White Oak Bayou and that Bayou usually overflows its bank during heavy rainstorms. I had water coming towards my house. It just made it halfway across the yard. My area had eight inches of rain.

    But now it's sunny. :)

The flooding last night really took its toll on Buffalo Bayou, near my place. It flooded out the park along Allen Parkway near Montrose, and as a result displaced the homeless encampment there.

Every cloud has a silver lining.:D
