I just woke up and looked out my window *blink blink* What is that light coming from the sky? I'm unfamiliar with the brightness and dryness of this day.

Man, last night was bad. I was coming home from work at about 8:30. Then I realized I left my other pair of shoes at work. So instead of making a U-turn I take a different path, along 290. that freeway was flooded. I picked up my shoes and went home. I live near White Oak Bayou and that Bayou usually overflows its bank during heavy rainstorms. I had water coming towards my house. It just made it halfway across the yard. My area had eight inches of rain. But now it's sunny.
The flooding last night really took its toll on Buffalo Bayou, near my place. It flooded out the park along Allen Parkway near Montrose, and as a result displaced the homeless encampment there. Every cloud has a silver lining.
