Thanks for the info Jeff. I was hoping that it starts this year. But Oh well, we will have to watch HD on ESPN and TNT for some games and hopefully ABC in the finals.

    you know why?
cause there are a bunch of cheap skate MFers who won't upgrade to HD but yet decide to upgrade their RIMs or eat Foie Gras.

Thats the MFing reason why! to hell with the cheap skates!

I hate FSN, the Rockets/Astros need their own sports network.

Houston Sports Network(not to be confused with Home Shopping Network)

Man, if I were all of you all, I'd be thankful watching games however I could. Even in a small 3.5 x 2.5 screen or whatever, I don't care.

I wish I could have the privilage of watching games at all.

I live in Austin and can't afford NBA League Pass due to the poorness of a college student. When I was at Houston, I was glad I could watch Rockets ball, even if I had to put on a stupid antenna in order to watch it on KNWS. Anything is better than watching nothing

Consider yourselves lucky, selfish bastards.

PS. I was only joking about my last line, just wanted to show the emotion, :D

FSN is what many teams have. They aren't changing from that. In fact, I think their deal is 5 years with them and they've been with them for probably 10 years dating back to the old HSE. So, that isn't changing. Plus, I don't know what the complaints are about FSN. It comes in really clear to me.

I understand that some like HD, but it reminds me of this line from a sitcom where one person was complaining about something really trivial and another person responded, "Oh, and my wallet is too small for all my twenties and my diamond shoes are too tight!"

There are teams that don't get all the games broadcast during the year and it's actually common for teams not to show preseason at all. We're lucky.

As for CW, channel 51 is the only option because those networks can make a lot more money off of their network programming than they can from the Rockets. Now that 20 and 39 are under the same umbrella, I could see a change in a couple years. But, for now, be happy with what you've got. It could be worse.

maybe when comcast is here..it will add it.

FSN comes in clear. that is not the problem. i don't give a dang if "crap" comes in clear..it's still crap.

and to those you're out of town..u can't keep saying be happy with wat you got. living in the same city as your sports team..u get a right to watch their games.

Well, you may as well get used to it. The Rockets and Astros tried to form a sports network, saw how difficult it was and went back to FSN with an extended contract.

As for teams having a right to watch games, says who? There are still teams in the NBA that don't broadcast all 82 games. Up until just a few years ago, postseason first round games were pay-per-view for the majority of teams. We are still one of the rare teams that broadcasts ALL preseason games.

Ya'll should stop complaining about video quality and should appreciate the fact that you can watch the rockets games. I live outside of the country and use Slingbox to watch the games. It’s not the greatest quality but I can see it and hear it. I spent a couple of years not being able to watch any Houston sports, don’t know if anyone has ever suffered that, but I can easily say that it was a horrible experience. I’m just glad the internet and Slingbox exists. So quit b!tchin about something insignificant like HD.. even tough watching it in HD(TNT) is pretty sweeet…. LOL....

    :D
