When We Sign LeBron in 2018, What Other Vets Will We Add?

TBH I'm not sure I would even want Lebron at this point - I can't really see him and Harden working on the same team. I'm not sure LBJ could handle being the 2nd best player on a team.

 

I really don't think Nike would like it either.

 

I give it 2/3 chance he leaves Cleveland, and 1/3 chance he's ring chasing.

If he really is ring chasing, there's no better team than the Rockets. However, he's way more likely to join some attractive beach than turn up in Houston.

I'd say Harden says no to Lebron if he's gonna play the same way. There's no way Harden changes his style of play to adapt to Lebron, seeing as how Lebron is constantly trying to do way too much. Everyone knows that Lebron's biggest weakness is that he still hasn't decided what his primary focus is as a basketball player. Every night he tries to do 30 things well instead of focusing on 10.

If Lebron comes to Houston, he HAS to change his mindset that he's dominating the ball and running plays for the team. CP3 can certainly help changing his mind on that, but it doesn't mean he'll listen.

 

Sounds nice but why is he not ring chasing now? Could've forced a trade once he knew Kyrie isn't coming back.

Also, how bad will he ring chase? Would he be willing to go to LAL to see if he can take a shitty team all the way to the finals, or would he risk tainting his legacy like KD did to join a contending team like the Rockets?

Anyone know what kind of MLE and other exceptions we’ll have next summer assuming we bring back all the important pieces? Not sure if we’d be tax payer MLE or not

 

This team is great as is. Harden is our guy. If we continue to look as good as we have lately than I wouldnt want to break this team up.

I wouldnt want to cut ties with gordon and capela.

Unless lebron wants a super duper paycut then I dont see it right now. We would have to gut our team to give an even semi competitive offer.

 

Take the chance this year and see if we can win. If we don't, add lebron if u can.

If this doesnt work this year than I agree. But if (and its a huge if) we win the championship with gordon + capela playing huge roles than you dont ditch them like chopped liver.

I wouldnt underestimate what capelas pick and roll threat provides to this offense.

You bring a title team back if they manage to pull it off.
