The only way to find out who will step it up if both Yao and Tmac are out for a couple of games. There are only 2 players I know that are capable of doing that outside of Ron is Scola and probably Brooks.
Do you guys realize to get to 30 points you have to at least attempt like 20 shots... RA is not going to let anyone other than Tmac, Yao and Artest take more than 20 shots.
In a quick spot check, Utah, LA, NO and Cleveland have all had similar or longer draughts than the Rockets. Utah hasn't had a 30pt scorer besides Deron/Boozer since the 2006-07 season. A longer draught than us. Laker's only had one besides Kobe and Gasol last yr and this yr. New Orleans only had one besides Paul and West last year and this year...since Nov 11th, 2007, longer draught than us. Cleveland has only had one beside LeBron since all of last year. longer draught than us.
How do you know that Tmac and Yao were not present in those games? that could explain why they weren't the leading scorers.
WORLD CHAMPION BOSTON CELTICS have had 5 30 pt scorers and only once was it Maggette (vs. Warriors) and 2 for Pierce and Ray Allen. So the point is if you need other rockets to score 30 to win then you might as well call off the season now.
Same thought I had. You want to know the reason for not having someone else to score 30? That game right there. Brandon Roy would have been ours.
