hmm they have a 1st round pick almost every year unless they traded it away :)
But yes i know what you mean.. when have they had a top 5 or even top 10 pick? And the OP's question is dumb. How many superstars on in the league? You can basically ask the same question for almost every single team and only a handful can say they have developed a superstar.

TWill and PPat will probably develop into better players than Scola and Kmart to be honest in my opinion. Right now obviously they are not as good as Scola or Kmart but from what I see they are very solid players right now even with low experience. Who knows how good they will be in the future (if we don't trade them).

Cassell wasn't a bad pick. But that's one of the best outside Yao I can think of

Beside Dwayne what player have the Heat developed into a legitimate marquee player.

Beside Melo what player have the Nuggets developed into a legitimate marquee player.

Beside Chris Paul what player have the Hornets developed into a legitimate marquee player.

Beside Kobe Bryant what player have the Lakers developed into a legitimate marquee player. (Sorry Bynum is not)

J-Man nailed it. Look no further than Aaron Brooks.

Is he a SUPERstar? No. But he is just as big a star as Rudy Gay. So if you are going to include the "what could have been" idea with Gay, you have to include Brooks.

We let him sit behind Rafer for 2 years and develop into the league's Most Improved Player. I think that pretty much qualifies us developing him into a great talent. Teams all around the league would love to have a player like Brooks on their squad....everyone except the Rockets for some stupid reason, at least according to all the Brooks hatred that goes around in this forum.

He is not a superstar. At best, he could be a star(of a team, not in the league - there are differences between these two) in a bad team.

The better question is, when was the last time a team developed a superstar who had not been projected to be a superstar at the beginning?

i agree with this 1000%, it seems as if nobody remembers that season when he was absolutely just mauling everybody in the low post before that knee injury vs the clippers. Had he not gotten injured that season and kept up his production he would have been a legitimate mvp candidate

Who is the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies???? Exactly my point. Rudy wouldv'e learned to play D under Vangundy. Then after a couple of month's under RA,he wouldv'e been unstoppable in our offense.

the OP post is misleading. he listed total 7 players from rest 29 teams and compared to one team, rox. of coz, rox looks bad at developing a player.

They most certainly can be better. They already have three attributes that Scola and Kev lack: Athleticism, Defense and Physicality.

Shouldn't a player at least make an allstar team before being called a superstar?

    I don't get it?

What was wrong with Yao Ming as an answer?

He's as much a superstar as anyone else was the last few years. Impossible to blame the Rockets for his injuries - had he not had those, the Rockets developed a superstar.

    /end thread.

That's just as legit as the Thunder with Durant... 1 all.

How many 'superstars' do you think a team gets each decade???
