When was the first time you saw the Rockets play in person?

I lost a bet to KellyDwyer here awhile back about Shareef Adur Rahim that he wouldn't make the playoffs, he was setting a record of something like 700 NBA games as a starter without ever seeing the playoffs

then the Kings got Artest and the SAR curse was over.

despite my losing, the reason why the Kings made the playoffs was not SAR.

 

First game was in the disastrous 2005-2006 season against the good ol' Minnesota Timber wolves. We won, but it was a boring game over all.

 

The first time i saw them in person was in Birmingham, Alabama at the bartow arena, it was a preseason game, i think they held it there cz the chuckster was still on the team

the first time in houston was game 6 vs. the Mavs, it was incredible

now that i live in houston again, i try and make as many games as i can, nothing like watching the rockets live!

Last year December 10th against the Sixers at Philly. Tmac went out with an injury, Yao left early, mike james and bonzi wells were doing nothing. Terrible first experience.

 

I live in Indonesia, but the first and last game I saw the Rockets in person was at 1994 when they face New York at the Summit. And Rox won 94-74. It was memorable for me, and I don't know when I can go to Houston again..

 

oh I was completley off topic. My 1st experince of going to a Rockets game was on. Sometime whenever 1996 was here.

The 1st Rockets game I ever saw in person was in 1988 against the Sac Kings.

I paid 9 dollars to sit in the upper bowl of the Summit behind one of he goals with a couple of friends from work.

Kenny Smith was playing for the Kings and had a monster game but the Rockets won a great game and I left unable to speak because I spent the entire night screaming.

To this day that was still one of the greatest games of any sport that I have ever watched in pearsonl. I moved out of Houston a year later for business reasons but still manage to get back to Houston at least once a year to see a game. I made it to the 1st home game of the season against Portland last year and I am looking forward to making a game again this year but I don't know which game that will be yet.

 

Looks like I'm still in the top 10 earliest game watchers. 74-75 season at Hofheinz Pavillion. Them were the dayz when you asked what time the game started, they asked what time could you be there.

 

Last year Rockets @ the Nets. I was sitting on the court 1st row In the New Jersey Nets arena. I was wearing a Tracy McGrady jersey and was HAMMERED by some of the Nets fans. Also, I touched Shane Battier's leg when he ran by me for a lose ball.
