It was early in '88(I was 11). They played the knicks and won. Dream killed Ewing in their much anticipated matchup, but Purvis Short stole the show, turned into Jimmy Chitwood and ended up with close to 40 pts. God Bless the Rainbow...."brings down rain"...

In ReUnion Arean to open the '84/'85 season. Yeah, I had Maverick season tickets when I lived there; I was young, single and had disposable income.

Hakeem was still Akeem and just a rookie. Ralph Sampson was the star of the team, but it wouldn't take too long for everyone to figure out there was a sea change that would take place. Hakeem's exponential improvement from month to month and year to year is a tribute to the work the organization did with him, CD getting the lion's share of that credit and deservedly so.

I can't remember much about that game, except that Houston won, and a rivalry began to grow bigger and bigger.

First (and only) game,'91 season, in the Summit vs. the Nuggets. Behind the north end basket, not a whole lot to see. Traditional championship-years Rocket red unis, Nuggets still looking simply dah-ling in their multicolored histogram unis.
If patterns hold, don't think I'll ever be able to afford a game ticket- hell, I don't have cable/satellite because of other bills.

Don't remember the exact day or year but it was vs. the tim hardaway warriors at the summit. Me and a friend cut out this coupon for buy 1 get 1 free out of the Post seats where like $7, nosebleeds.

By the end of the game we moved down to the lower levels.

I dont usually comment but mine was Awesome for Mad Max Fans.
I was at the game against the Cavs 1/26/1991 (I had to look it up) I was a Sophmore in high school. Mad Max scored 50pts, 30pts in the 4th quarter, he topped it off with a reverse jam on a fastbreak, it was awesome!

The Cavs were rolling out Daughtery, Nance, Ehlo, Ferry, Hot Rod, Price, Kerr, I think Price was out that game and Johnny Morton got the nod, one of the reasons Mad Max went off, they had nobody to cover him.

It also could have been a high octane night for Mad Mad....sniff sniff

We lost at home against the Pacers right before the All Star break. My friend and I spent lots of time trying to get Cato into the All Star Game by filling out a bunch of the vote cards.

2nd time was game 3 vs Lakers when Nachbar drew 2 quick fouls against Malone in the 1st quarter, I think. There was a loud dude in a Kobe jersey behind me.

I can't start a new thread, anybody else want to link this?

Note that it was a 4th quarter record.

George Gervin (33), David Thompson (32), Wilt Chamberlain (31), and Michael Jordan (30)

How about a wager? $20 to the tip jar if anyone on the Rockets scores 30 points in the 4th quarter.

I don't really recall, but the first one I can remember was the game where Drexler came into the Summit and the PA announced we had traded for him.

    That was pretty dang cool.

It will be hard to accomplish, it was the perfect storm. Dream was out that night, so Max had to jack it up. McGrady hast the potential. Another side note which I was unaware of, Chucky Brown started that night for the Cavs. I guess Hot Rod was out.

but the game solidified the fact that we have a guy who could explode offensively and be trusted in crunch time.

I'm jealous you saw such a game, its like when that dude told those other dudes to let my people go and then made the ocean part.

If I had to bet I would be on your side. I never said it would be broken, I just said you never know anything can happen but I wouldn't bet on it.
