At least Vince has led a 16-66 team to the playoffs in his 2nd year, ECSF and 1 shot away from the ECF in his 3rd and this is only his 4th year where he had to have season ending surgery. So don't use the word "several". So you are using the year Vince has been injured as the benchmark for Vince vs 2 breakout years in TMac and Pierce to benchmark, yeah thats fair. Pierce has had 1 good year, but I guess he's proven more in the 1 than the past 3, I mean his assist/to ratio is so impressive and he really makes the players around him better. Yeah thats it... Since people like using public opinion around here, how about I paraphrase Dr Jack who by far is the biggest Celtic supporter out there: "Vince is a future hall of famer, I don't put Pierce on that list because he's just had 1 good season so far, and he isn't the all around offensive player that Vince is. I rank both TMac and Vince above Paul in that catagory" Pierce and Vince were drafted the same year, so who has done more and proven more ? Yeah thats what I thought. As for TMac, he's the 2nd best player in the world right now and I'm not going to say he isn't... But that doesn't mean he will continue to be.
Well I'm done with this, 90% of the people here don't even watch the Raptors, or Celtics or Magic play, you all depend on the media for your opinion. I don't care anymore, I'm done. "I didn't mind people saying bad things about me, talking bad about me, wanting me traded," Carter said. "Next year when I'm back on the court, making something good happen, I'll just love to see the difference and just laugh at it." I'll echo those statements, I just hope you are all man enough to admit you are wrong next year
And I'd hope you are man enough to admit it now. And I watch every single game the Magic play, and with them in a rivalry with the Raptors, I follow them well enough to know what I'm talking about.
Looogie, no need to get defensive. VC's own team has gone on like a 9-0 run since he is officially out and are saying stuff like "AD has been a trooper, our leader, all season". They are obviously not more talented w/o Carter, but they are playing much harder--especially defensively (, like Clark, have been watching them). VC is a great talent and an outstanding player, but there are some problems with the focus of the team with him there (as evidenced by their turnaround) and certainly questions about his leadership abilities. The same can be said of Franchise as well (at least the latter part), but that is another topic.
