McClain: Three minor partners told me there was no meeting. And McNair meets with his partners regularly. They have nothing to do with his decision to hire or fire QBs. They have as much say as you do. And who would he promote? Marciano? He had a better game Sunday than Phillips or Dennison.

Read on twitter that Mr. McNair held an owner's meeting and the minority owners want Kubiak gone. Any truth to that?

McClain: Nope. At least not with the three I spoke with privately. They told me there have meetings but they didn't have one yesterday. I don't know where that got started. And it wouldn't matter what they wanted. They have no input in McNair's decisions.

Greetings John - so basically Kubiak is saying that a certain protection/offense scheme wasn't yet taught to Keenum (either ever or it wasn't taught for this week's game plan) therefore he went to Schaub. Do you think it's pretty clear then that in Kubiak's heart of hearts he doesn't think Keenum is a franchise QB? cause if he did, he'd trust he could pick it up in some form or fashion while defense was on the field or during timeouts.

McClain: I think Kubiak wasn't blind like some fans who think Case can't do anything wrong. Case didn't do squat on the first three series. He's was obviously having trouble with the blitz. I think he pulled him because he was getting worse, not better, but didn't want to say so.

Let's face it. Kubiak has taken this team as far as he can. How about giving Kyle Shannahan a shot. He knows the team, system, and will open up the offense without rebuilding.

McClain: Are you kidding me? They want to run him and his father out of Washington. He could be available. But it won't be him.

McClain: Cowher after, what, 7 years? I don't think so. As for Gruden, I don't see it. I think Gruden would have a better chance, but they say he doesn't want to go to a rebuilding situation.

McClain: Schaub, Tate, W. Smith, A. Smith, Jospeh and perhaps Daniels. Now, if A. Smith would sign for less, I think he could return. Joseph will have a high cap figure. They'll have to get it down or find another CB. Maybe in the first round.

Hi John. You've gone on record saying you think Kubiak will be fired and Wade Smith will be retained. Do you think the GM has done a deserving job or are there other reasons at play. Please elaborate on your opinion of our GM and his effectiveness.

McClain: I think Rick Smith has brought in enough talent to win back-to-back division titles. I don't think talent is the reason they're 2-8. Injuries have played a role. Poor play by Schaub. Bad pass coverage. No pass rush other than Watt. If Reed and Mercilus have six sacks as rookies and fewer afterward, that's not the GM's fault.

I like McClain but I don't put much stock in his words as being gospel, I personally think after the waste of this season and the potential ire this regime has caused its franchise player (Andre Johnson) and potential doubt in who was hoped to be its future franchise player (JJ Watt), the only person that might have a chance of sticking around to see a 2014 season is Wade Phillips.
