If you're subbing B for A in this acronym what does the F stand for?

it's not a change in his play bro. It's an addition to his game that if he could get down, he'd prolly be makin a ton more money and the rockets could prolly win a ring. Unfortunately, jones isnt going to change his form and with a form like that, he wont develop a consistent jumper that opposing defenses will respect.

T Jones gonna be a monster when Howard gets back in the lineup...more space to roam like he did early in the season before his injury

Having a jump shot won't necessarily be as great as it seems. Look at Serge Ibaka, he settles for jump shots and is not an All-Star.

That slow wind up is done deliberately. Just like Parsons 1 foot pump fake...... It's to intice bigs who like to block shots to see that ball just sitting there forever and believe they can't get to it before he gets it off...... As a shooter myself I've been able to shoot from different platforms and can tell you that the Ray Allen form has the most success but tough to maintain thru fatigue. There also the TMac shot that more of an overhead shot but the wrist is more stiff..... This usually results in a flat clothesline type of shot..... Now TJones uses the the overhead catapult release which can be a very accurate shot as you have more control of the ball and more backspin.... Only problem is that it's a hard shot to gauge as far as distance goes...... There's nothin wrong with the shot but it relies a lot on floor and muscle memory than actually shooting.... Usually guy who shoot like this tends to shoot from the same areas on the court because they just can rely on muscle memory as opposed to aiming...... A guy who shot pretty well with the same slow delivery is a guy I kinda Jones to (although is a vastly superior athlete) is Sam Perkins.....

Does the OP know he is left handed?

It is a slow shot, but not the ugliest ever. Far from beautiful, but could be worse....

    Resukts are what matter.

Getting a consistent jump shot would be the "easiest" thing for Jones to develop. Its not like he's Dorsey-bad, but its just not needed to be part o this game right now.

On the other hand, there are several jump shooters who will never possess the athleticism, leaping ability, and hustle-ability that Jones currently has.

Jones can both fill-out as well as work on the "finesse" part of his game with time... but he already has the god-given talent that can make him a quality player in this league as is.

as long as he can knock 'em down, I don't care what form he has.

like that 3 at the end of the clock in the last two min, he had the confidence to wind it up while Blake was just watching him. Ha!

Has there ever been a question over his talent? They were touting him as a potential top 5 pick after his freshman year. Came back as part of the super team, and played 2nd fiddle to AD (in the bigs department). Some questions over his 'motor' are the only reason he dropped out of the top 10.

His motor looked ok last year, but defence was a concern.
Defence seems ok this year, be nice to see him with a 35% 3pt shot - hopefully we get that next year

Were the questions about his motor, or his body language?

I have no ideal of what you're talking about... Larry Bird had the perfect form on his shot... L and C... exactly as any instructor should teach you...

I nominate this thread as the worst 99er thread of the year. Complaining about a guy that shoots 51.5% from the field and 33% from three point land and saying his shot needs to be completely restructured because it's not beautiful? I have mad respect for people that have been on here longer than me and still post in the GARM but please. Friggin' terrible show...

TJ really didn't struggle to score in the playoffs last year nor did the team when he was on the court. The offensive rating was great. The team's defense against Portland was the issue...not the offense. That was an issue you could see coming a mile away. Defense was not a focus at all for last year's squad and they either thought they were going to out score everybody or just turn it on in the playoffs. Didn't work. They were springing leaks everywhere.
