Dear troll, your persistence to troll this forums is quite admirable. Even though you do it on purpose, your single-minded determination to make yourself clueless and make others wonder in bewilderment at your posts' idiotic ramblings is one of a kind. I salute you, oh mighty troll! Let the flames continue! PS: Or you really are that clueless, in which case you should go have a mental evaluation.
i dont think head will ever wear a rockets jersey again. morey has already decided to trade him straight up for kobe bryant and eat the luxury tax and shoot for the moon. that solves our back up SG problem also.
If you had the opportunity to see TMac play five or six years ago you would know that for most games during the season, he is a shell of his former self. He can hit those high notes now and then, but not with any degree of consistency. If fact, TMac has never been real consistent, but his raw talent used to be off the charts. I think you will see TMac in the "going through the motions" mind set this season, because I think he has resigned himself to the "first round and out" routine that the Rocket's organization is apparently committed to. Unless there is an unexpected infusion of talent, TMac will coast. He will say all the right things, but he will coast. That is why I have recommended that he be traded for several months now. It's Time. And there won't be a better time. Billups and Hamilton, and pray that Yao's feet hold up. We got a chance.
it's disappointing to read how everyone writes TMac off before we even get to camp. i agree that he deserves his share of criticism for this and that, but he's the star of our team and helped us get to 55 wins last year. he can't beat Utah by himself...plenty of blame to go around. i'm not saying he's the same player he was with Orlando either..but come on...you guys act like his career is over and he's worthless.
Hamilton is the core player for that team, they will not trade him away easily. As for the Tmac health, his back problem was gone last year after meeting with Dr. Petterson (spelling right?), at least this is a good sign.
your logic lacks a lot of logic. yes tmac DOES coast during the reg. season, but it hasn't affected our reg. season performances. so he coasts during a game, but he picks up his level of play during a game when need be. if he's resigned to a first round and out, why try so hard in the playoffs? if you saw game 2 v. the jazz, you should never question where his heart and mind are in the playoffs.
You are probably right, but that would be a heck of a trade for the Rockets. Imagine Rip getting the shots that Battier and Rafer get. He might shoot sixty percent. I would just like to see the team get over the hump, and I don't think they are currently configured to do that. TMac is not "done," but I don't think he and Yao have the temperament or durability to take the team further.
Every NBA player coasts some during the season, but TMac has made it an art form. TMac used to be my favorite player in the whole league, even before he came to the Rockets, but I have soured a bit on him because of his whole approach to the game. Yes, he can turn it on, but, in many ways, he just doesn't seem to care that much anymore.
Robert Horry? Baron Davis? Vince Carter? If we're talking about coast artists, I think Horry takes the cake. I think he knows he that can't give it his all in the regular season because his body won't let him. I'm fine with him coasting as long as he brings it during the playoffs. He was damn good last year (in the playoffs) even with his injuries...I just hope he has some help when the playoffs come knocking on the Rockets' door.
In 2004-2005 he played 78 games and average nearly 26 points, over 6 rebounds, nearly 6 assists and 1.7 steals. The Rockets won over 50 games that season. In 2006-2007 he played 71 games and averaged almost 25 points, over 5 rebounds and 6.5 assists on another 50 win team. Last season he played 66 games and averaged nearly 22 points, over 5 boards and about 6 assists and the Rockets won 55 games. Aside from 2005-2006 Tracy hasn't missed that many games. He'll probably play about 65-70 and average 23-25 points, 5-6 rebounds and about 6 assists.
You should apply for a GM job in the NBA. The wealth of knowledge that flows thru your head is amazing.
It ain't about missing games Seems he plays like 50% of his games 'hurt' Grimacing and gimpy Rocket River
well if he had a decent backup or the team could prove they could win consistently without him, he might try to heal from his injuries (he came back still early from the knee last yr). he has to play, hurt or not, if we even have a chance at the playoffs.
and him playing injured should dismiss any notion that he's soft, like a lot of ppl on this board thinks. he's arguably one of the toughest 3 players on this team (or has the ability to play through injuries).
