    We just hate him.

I remember one time I believe we beat the Bengals back in the old Central days and he said something to the likes of "they will not be in the playoffs" and we made it and Wyche's team stayed home, and when I went to the stadium to cheer my Oilers against the Steelers there were a bunch of " Where are you now, Sam?" signs... but I don't know if this is the same thing as to what drummer dude is making a reference.

Didn't read through the whole thread. As a coach myself, there were times when my basketball team have been up by ridicuolous margins. I spoke to my athletic director about how I should handle this.

He looked me in the eye and said. "You do your job. It's your job to have your athletes perform as best as they can at all times. It's not your job to not try your best because someone else can not compete with your team."

Made a lot of sense to me.

There's a HUGE difference between continuing to play hard and running up the score.

If your team is up by 40 points with 5 seconds left, are you going to call a timeout after a defensive rebound and set up a play to get an open 3-pointer?

That. I'm all for playing hard, but the onside kick in the first quarter up by multiple touchdowns in a high school game makes him look like an ass, I don't care how competitive you are.

i have seen my fair share of kickoffs and it was an onside kick 7 on one side and 3 on the other with the kicker coming from the side to kick it off? sounds and looked like and onside kick.

There were the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the second half. One for highstepping to the enzone. 1 for a spike and another for pointing the ball at a pursuing defender on a breakaway run chris johnson to troy palamalu style.

This was on 3 separate occasions. I have emailed the athletic director, 1 time if your the coach you go to that player and say there is no need for that. 3 times and no reprucutions? beside a 10 yard penalty on the kickoff.

ahhh thank you. I didn't remember that. I haven't ever been as big a football fan as basketball fan, so that's probably why... football is about the social aspect for me more so than the sporting aspect.

i just recieved an email from the athletic director...

We here at the Woodlands Athletic Deptartment, would like to apologize to the parents and players of the Oak Ridge freshman football team. We do not condone bad sportmanship here at the Woodlands. The coaches will be administratively punished, i assure you. I have recieved several calls and emails regarding this situations. I will make a public apology at tonights Oak Ridge Vs. Woodlands varsity game at Woodforest Bank Stadium at 7pm, if you would like to attend. Once again, we here at the Woodlands send our sincere apology to the Oak Ridge players and families.

I guess i'm not the only one that complained.

If your team sucks, expect terrible results. I don't think any of us cried when we got our asses whooped by Cinco Ranch last night.

While the OP's behavior was borderline stalking and pretty creepy, the unsportsmanlike actions of the coach suck.

As bad as coaches gloating about running up the score in kid's soccer, sending runners on infield hits in tee ball, and other douche bag moves like this high school coach. Completely unsportsmanlike.

There's a reason NBA coaches empty the bench in the 4th quarter of blowouts.
