I think Ariza is a nice addition on a team that has quality players and a hierachy established. Ariza = Shannon Anderson, IMO...a good fit in the right situation. To me the Rockets have no direction right now....and admittadly, I do not know what Morey has up his sleeve, if it is trading Battier for Outlaw and Hernandez, then fine, I love the Ariza signing. But, if it is having both Battier and Ariza together, I think it is a waste of $$$$...and redundant. DD
Agreed. I think the NBA should put a ban on discussing official affairs on Twitter. Look, you can't attack refs or the league or your team in a press conference, so the NBA already has no qualms against censorship. I think if a player is going to make a statement he should do so officially, otherwise, it's pure speculation. The truth of the matter is, if this has any official merit, Ariza or his agent should have made an official statement to the media. What's the difference between this and what Tmac did? These men are built to withstand the gruels of a season, they are paid millions, and yet the growing trend among them is to be little sissies and have someone else speak for them. I'm not saying Ariza is one of these players, but if he bolts LIKE THIS, I will lose all respect for him. Ugh.
Shane can't last forever DD. Next year is basically a wash. Trevor at the MLE to be Shane's replacement is solid. He's 24. It's a good signing taking the state of the Rockets in mind, and 2010. Morey > You Word is he's NOT backing out.
Twitter is GREAT. How did we learn about all our draft day deals? Twitter. They're up to the second reliable, depending who you know to follow. Artest to LA, Hedo to Tor, all broke on Twitter before ESPN, CBS, Yahoo
The OP's question has been answered. I'm closing this before it becomes yet another thread where the same people start posting the same thing about Trevor Ariza every other post that's already in a stickied post and in another 10 threads probably. I see the engines of redundancy rev'ing...
