When he reaches his ceiling, which player will Landry most be like?

At his peak, which of these players will Carl Landry most resemble?

  1. Chuck Hayes: He's old for a rookie and still cannot create his own shot.

I made a thread early in the season about replacing Chuck Hayes with Scola/Landry...I was completely shunned by my fellow Clutchfans!!!

I know that now Landry is hot...its coincidental and not because he is twice the player that Chuck is, right?!?

Anybody with a pulse could see early on that defenses were ignoring Chuck and he was too busy hiding behind Yao to even try and get the ball.

I bet if Landy closed his eyes, he still couldn't shoot 27% from the freethrow line!

Free throw shooting isn't really a good example, because Landry is quite terrible at that thus far. Chuck is twice the defensive player Landry and I still believe he will be a valuable situation specialist.

Maybe Landry will become a Karl Malone type of player, minus the mad acting skills :D

Are you kidding me? T-Mac not near the HOF? Two time NBA scoring champion, six time All NBA team selection, seven time All-star, a career 22.4 ppg, 4.6 apg and 6.3 rpg player. I'd say he's well on his way to the HOF.

And given the lack of dominant centers in the game today, I'd say Yao was well on his way also (*knock on wood*, sorry for mentioning that during the Injury). If anything he should be a lock simply for the role he has had as a representive for an entire continent of the world (the most populous one I might add, not some dinky Australia, sorry Andrew Bogut) on an international stage and the major contributor to basketball's explosion in Asia. Kinda like Ichiro but more so, since baseball's been popular in Japan for some time. In any case, both Yao and Ichiro should make their respective Halls by numbers alone; the outside circumstances merely boost their cause.

    Pass me the pipe, too.

Won't settle for anything less than Hakeem.

Ok, I'll settle for Charles Barkley.

I said a player like Davis.. if hes going to make an all-star team, I dont think its going to be with the Rockets especially when there is a superstar in Tmac and Yao

That 2 billion people is not able to get Yao the most votes for All-star.
The same 2 billion people did not get Yi into the All-star.

Anyway, as long as landry can be a gooden type of player. 12pts, 8reb. Consistent all year round, with that occasional big plays. I guess most rox fans will be happy.
