Y'all miss Fatty in here and you won't admit it. If I ever go to one of these get-togethers, I'm showing up with a " " over my face.
Yeah. Even fatty (a little - his hilarity was annoying usually, but very consistent). That being said, I'm glad he's gone. Those last few posts were just outrageous.
I think we all miss Fatty and his style. He's one of the more fascinating personalities we have seen. His problem is that he feels too deeply, can't understand the hatred and the backlash and the vitriol thrown his way by keyboard warriors hiding their true identities. That and he and Batman Jones are like oil and water, two abrasive, disturbed guys who have been through hell in their lives but have come out as extremely successful, genuinely happy people for the most part. The funny thing is that if both of them together were just out in a bar with a few drinks in them, they'd probably get along just fine. But booze and anger and a welcoming outlet (clutchfans) do not mix well. **** is crazy on the internet...
In what city... or, if in Houston, in what part of town? CFers are all over the world at this point. I met a few many years ago in Austin (RM95 & Baqui99 & a few others) at Aussie's (is that even still there?). I met MB, Miguel, and Stack at Live when that was still open for some Astros-Cards playoffs (ugh... damn you Pujols!) a few years ago. And if you're musically inclined, you can see some of the CFers that play in bands around Houston. I've seen RMTex at a few spots around town.
Fatty is a chill guy. I'm happy I finally got to meet him. The same thing goes for Lynus, Harrisment, & his wife. I talked to Master Baiter briefly before he left. He's a funny guy. I've known Moes and Gwatson for some time now..I'm still laughing about the Thailand 12 yr old girl remark..oh how fast that cleared out the balcony
Fatty is a classic, a SUPER nice dude and really knows his hamburger joints. Welcome back and try to stay out of trouble!
Oddly enough, that's exactly why I miss him. I never understood the whole MacBeth fascination and I have no idea why people still talk about him to this day. I didn't care about him when he was here, much less now that he's gone. Fatty, on the other hand....there was just NOTHING like that feeling of pure exhilaration after arriving at work on Monday morning to find a 10-page thread started by Fatty over the weekend. I would think to myself "well, there goes any chance of me getting any work done before lunch." Ah, how I miss those days.
Taking cruel and spiteful potshots at another dude's marriage and his wife ain't exactly funny in my book. Fatty had his moments, but his personality always tended towards "raging d-ck". A number of personality quirks made it virtually impossible for him to reign that aspect in. IMHO.
Fatty can be cool and engaging, but what got him into trouble was when he stirred up **** and either double downed on the douchebaggery or played the martyr. Sometimes both.
