hahaha my point is not that we are better without yao. but we could move on and look for a starting center. you guys act like without yao we couldn't use his 17 million a year salary to get other players and move on. right now we are a car with 4 tires. one of the tires is the most expensive tire, but it is always flat. when it has air in it, it is the best tire, but most of the time there is no air in it.
morey could win us a title. i hope yao either makes it through or retires. he is a flat tire

if it weren't politically incorrect to bash on yao he would get destroyed. he has done nothing but our franchise but hold us back

we seriously would have traded him 3 years ago. he is the most overrated overhyped dude ever. he is a nice guy, that works hard. with no yao we have no nationally televised games. with yao we play the lakers on the first game of the season. lets go yao, make it to the playoffs and i will stop hating on him. i just hate the free pass the guy gets. he is no better than mcgrady. when you get out of rd 1 and break your foot in rd 2 that doesn't count as getting out of round 1. he basically has never been out of round 1 in 8 years

How does being the starting center for a team that advances to the second round in 6 games not count? They beat the blazers.

If the Blazers had not done anything to try and stop Yao, by fronting him, they would have gotten swept, not to mention that the Blazers had home court advantage.

Yaos injury in the second does little to discredit his impact as many would argue that had he been healthy they would have had a very good shot of beating the lakers that series.

because once he went out in rd 2 he ended the season for us. he made it through rd 1, but no matter what he is never on the floor when the season ends. what shot did we have once he went out. while it was good memories, he didn't give us any shot to advance. that is why i don't count it

but either way, yao let us down again. when he is going to get hurt this year. in game 3 of the conference finals. the guy is the least dependable player ever. i wish we had traded him years ago. he is a nice guy, that works hard, and tries his best. the bottom line is he is always hurt. we had no chance without yao. so yeah that doesn't count at all as far as i am concerned. yao has never made it out of rd 1

honestly coming from a kid that at his home in houston still has a lifesize yao ming poster on his wall. a kid that used to say the time is yao. he isn't a bad guy. but having to root for him like he is some awesome superstar sucks. he is literally pathetic

the only reason why he gets no hate like tmac did. is because tmac got hurt because he was worthless and didn't know how to rehab or condition himself. yao gets a free pass because he tries as hard as he can and the injuries aren't his fault. but he is no better than mcgrady. he has accomplished less in a houston rocket uniform than ralph sampson did. he is huge for the nba. huge for 2 billion fans in china. but where has he been. i haven't seen him end the season on the rockets since the 06-07 season. sounds like a pretty solid investment to me. morey has been dominating like this playing 5 card poker with 4 cards. yao is nothing more than a burden holding our franchise back. a failed experiment of an ultra skilled 7 ft 6 guy that couldn't ever stay healthy and when he did, was still soft. hopefully this is his last year

sorry im a huge rockets fan, and i don't mean to be a hater. but i have seen the same story for far too long. if yao is healthy. if yao is healthy. if yao is healthy.

when the hell is yao healthy. he breaks his feet every 2 weeks. there is a reason why there haven't been too many centers over 7 feet tall. it doesn't help them. it just makes them injury prone. he broke his feet twice before the age of 18. that sounds pretty promising to me

Obviously you have no interest in the career of Yao Ming. As the Rockets team is built around Yao Ming, obviously you have little support for our Yao Ming led Rockets. :p

Dude you got issues. Seriously. If the game of NBA is THAT important to you to make you so irrationally crazy and bitter, you need to lay off the NBA for a while. You've lost all perspective of what Life really is about.

I root for the Rockets and Yao Ming but I never allow it to influence my life like it does for you.

As for this T-Mac to Yao comparison, this is what T-Mac lovers do all the time not realizing they are comparing a ferrari to a broken bicycle.

Yao Ming is pure class, a role model for ANY human being. Even without Basketball, he would still be a WINNER in LIFE.

T-Mac is pure garbage. He's a total loser, a loser without any redeeming value. Yeah, he had athletic talent and he was lucky enough to be born in a time when NBA players live like GODS. But T-Mac the PERSON is pure garbage. He's ME ME ME, and everything that comes out of his mouth is pure garbage. Without Basketball, T-Mac would be homeless. Without Basketball, Yao Ming would do fine.

So you T-Mac lovers are total losers for comparing a fine outstanding example of what a human being should be with a walking talking piece of GARBAGE.

Can someone start a topic asking when we would prefer the OP's mom gets into a really bad car accident? I know which one I would vote. I don't see the purpose of this thread besides the fact that it may be a troll-feeder.
