You guys don't really think we'd trade Rafer Alston do you? I mean, certainly not to get a tall, backup player. Skip is the best PG we have, you know, and when he's on his game he brings a lot to the floor-even if his shot isn't hitting.

I would have loved to see how we would have faired against the Jazz last year in the playoffs with a healthy Skip.

But yeah, we gotta do something to get a big backup PF/C. We need to get Mutumbo if at all possible, but aside from that I'd totally support a trade of Head/2nd round pick or something to that affect to get a decent big guy to hold it down inside.

There is a rumour in Phoenix that, Suns are considering to move Amare.

Maybe a T-Mac + Scola + 2010 1st round pick for Amare+ Leo could work for two sides.

Scola + Battier + Brooks for Amare...

    Line up would be:

    Yao
    Amare,
    Artest,
    T-Mac,
    Alston

umm but we need a point guard more than we need a forward. naahh

amare wouldnt work for us. he wants to be 'the man' on his team. if we trade for him, we might as well trade away yao for a big guy who can shoot threes to give amare some space. amare would look good with deron and okur. so if we want amare, we would also need to trade for deron and okur (probably for tmac + yao).

i can see the jazz taking on yao over okur, but i doubt they'd let go of deron unless they get a quality pg as well. they would probably take brooks + yao + tmac for deron + okur + some of their scrubs but the salaries wont match.

i think we can work out a 3team trade with phoenix and utah if you really want this to happen. something like:

    incoming phx:
scola + battier + von wafer (from rockets)
    boozer (from utah)

    utah:
    barbosa (from phx)
yao + brooks + head (from rockets)

    rockets:
    amare = 15m (from phx)
okur + korver + price (from utah)

utah might do this, but im sure they would want to include kirilenko somewhere.

These trade requests are so stupid. I dont even know why people post crap like this none of those teams are trading for anyone for the players you mentioned. Yao untradeable and amare is going NNNNOOOO WHHHHEEERRREEE. Second why would any team swap superstars midyear.

But I think we should try and find a way to get Jokeem Noah (however that is spelt...from the bulls since he isnt playing. Like maybe dorsey and head??? but like they really need another SG....hmm

Head for Sean Williams would be music to my ears. I love athletic shotblockers especially on a team like the rockets that have none.

    Untouchable, I promise you.

They love him there, especially after inconsistent years with Haywood, Thomas, etc..

T-Mac may be often injured but I wouldn't trade him straight up for Amare, much less with a promising up and coming player like Scola.

Seriously though, I dont mind the random trade threads... I just find a lot of em foolish. Why is everyone in such a rush to try and trade T-Mac and our good young roleplayers like Brooks, Scola, and Landry?

Yeah, we could stand to make a few upgrades but the road to a championship doesn't start with us trading T-Mac and Scola for Amare or Wally freaking Serbiak(sp).

T-Mac is still capable of playing like a top 3 player in the league in certain games-most importantly, in playoff games. He isn't the player he used to be, of course, but he's still a great player who we need to make a playoff run.

Agreed. Although, I don't we should get our hopes up too high. There's a reason Williams is collecting DNP's and getting garbage minutes in NJ. Head's value is actually higher right now. I wonder how that plays into any of this hypothetical trade talk.
