Since I was about 7 years old (1984). My Dad had Rox season tickets until I was in high school, so I went to tons of games growing up.
When I was 7 when Barkley was here but then I lost interest until 2008 right before Yao got injured during the 22 win streak that everyone was talking about.
watching hakeem for the first time. his battles with guys like ewing, robinson and o'neal were just awesome.
Same here, same series. Started watching practically every regular season Rockets game starting in '99.
When I first saw teens at my apartment complex trading NBA cards after playing basketball (btw the goal was a Target shopping cart hanging upside-down on a fence and the ball was the small balls that Pizza Hut was giving away at the time  ). I immediately wanted to buy some and started learning which cards were worth more. To do that, I watch more and more basketball games. So around 1991 is when I watched a lot of games, especially the Rockets.
I remember watching games when guys like Sleepy Floyd were on the team, but I think the first full season where I barely missed a game was 92-93 when the Rockets got off to the 15-0 start and ended up losing to the Sonics in the playoffs. Ever since then I've hardly missed a game.
I really started getting into the Rockets during the 04-05 season... That is also where I formed a strong hate with the Mavericks... Before that I was an avid football fan.
1980 Lakers-Sixers championship series. Loved Kareem, Magic and Showtime. Beautiful game they played.
Phi Slamma Jamma is what got me watching once Akeem was drafted to the Rockets. The 1986 playoffs is what got me hooked.
i started to follow when i was around 5 years old I became a olajuwon then rockets fan when i was 6 in 1988
