that maybe so, but I didn't forget that Daryl Morey had something to do with getting Ron Artest to Houston and that it was one of the big deals, trades, transactions, moves that he's ever done. my memory doesn't suck that bad yet.
Expectations were really high. Oh well, at least we got rid of Steve, no more 24 second shot clock violations. I do miss Cutino and am happy he found some success in LA.
Meee neeeitha, that's one of many reasons we are both huge Morey fans, he's a straight burglar. Spoiler
you know Cato was disliked when he was here during the Steve era, but as Yao's backup, I really liked him.
I don't see how many of you aren't a fan of Daryl Morey.. He is the reason we have the team in front of us in which many of you admire (I.E. the dude in love with Bud). So to say that you're not a fan is ridiculous. The definition of a fan is pretty clear.. This was taken from wikipedia (yes, I know wikipedia, but it does have valid points that make it clear) "Sports fan can describe enthusiasts for a particular athlete, team, sport, or all of organized sports as a whole. The Sports fans are often seen attending sporting events or following them on television, as well as through newspapers and internet websites. The mentality of the sports fan is often such that they will experience a game, or event while living vicariously through players or teams whom the fan favors. This behavior manifests itself in a number of different ways, depending on the venue. At a stadium or arena, sports fans will voice their pleasure with a particular play, player, or team by cheering, which consists of clapping, fist-pumping, or shouting positive exclamations toward the field of play and ultimately, the favorable object." That pretty much sounds like all of us on here huh?? The point is, is that the Rockets organization is one whole that has different parts that make it up. The general manager is Daryl Morey, and he happens to be one hell of a manager. Like I said, he is the reason we have this team in front of us. So to say you like the Rockets alone is ignorant and not looking at the big picture.
No one is saying he is not a good manager, people are saying they are not his fans. There is a difference, at least to me. You can be his fan if you like, no one is calling you ignorant or stupid because of it. Go on with your bad self.... DD
For anyone that has any gripes with my comment of not being a fan of Morey, I am a fan of Morey in the sense that he is part of the Rockets and has done a good job as their GM. I am not a "In Morey We Trust" card holder, nor do I ever plan to be. Kudos to him for assembling an enjoyable team to watch, but that doesn't mean I care for Morey in particular(aka not a fan.) If he were fired immediately and replaced with a competent successor I would not miss Morey in the minimal. Why? Because he would no longer be a Rocket. What I find amusing is that me not being a fan of Morey seems to upset a large portion of you. Does my choice to not pledge my blind allegiance to Morey affect you that much? Please get over it. It was a comment in response to a thread, you will be okay, I promise.

Spoiler I'm a big Morey fan. He is the "architect" of the team and I love the way he is assembling the team. It would be really tough to be a fan of, let's say, the Jailblazers with all these thugs on them back then, or the Knicks as Isiah Thomas put the team together. It makes a huge difference. And it's just great to know that the guy running the team you root for knows what he is doing.
