Sorry, I guess when I said biological, I meant predetermined at birth by genetics and/or hormones and stuff like that in the womb. I guess the best phrase is biologically predetermined? I'm not referring to somebody insulting you and you get a rush of adrenaline and you can't see straight. That's biological but not what I'd consider to be predetermined.

I've seen studies that actually show it is the case, which is a large part of the basis for my belief. Unfortunately I don't follow this topic that closely to be able to cite them or refer specifically to any. If I come across some I'll post them.

It depends on your definition of natural. My definition is that it exists in nature. Since there is scientific evidence of gay animals, I'd say that it is pretty natural. "Normal" can mean many different things. I think of "normal" as "not strange", so in that way I'd say homosexuality is normal.

Even the "consensual" sex with the underage individuals is considered wrong because people believe that children don't have the ability to give their consent without undue influence, and so any sex with a minor is not consensual.

And if somebody wanted to start a "pedo movement", I'd give it due consideration and if I was convinced that the children involved were always free to provide or withhold consent as they saw fit, I might even be ok with it. Similarly, since I don't see anything wrong with homosexual marriage, I am ok with it.

But I don't think this is what is being asked for. In the military, if your superiors find out that you are gay, then you will get discharged. That means, for example, that you can't talk about your relationships openly and honestly. Does anybody ever talk about their girlfriend in the military? Does anybody talk about how they got a letter from their husband or wife? Should a gay service member be allowed to mention calling his boyfriend without fear of being discharged?

It's not about DEFINING who people are, it's about allowing them to be themselves without fear of recrimination or second class status. If you're against allowing gays in the military, or against allowing gays to marry, you're not against allowing gays special rights, you're against allowing them equal rights.

    Do you see the difference?

So . .. How many siblings total?

Wouldn't be very surprising that a genetically 'recessive' gene would go 3 for 3 in children. Considering neither parent has the characteristic?

My uncle was born gay. My sister was boy-crazy when we were teenagers, and she swore off men and became a lesbian after a bad marriage and a worse divorce. There's probably just about everything in between.
