    LOL.

As bad as his choice of Gaffney in foreign policy.

Representative Mia Love (R-UT) endorses Ted Cruz before the Utah caucus.

Mia Love should marry an Asian with the last name "Yu" so her name can be "Mia Love Yu".

No. Gramm may have made a boneheaded statement, but Gaffney has seriously baffling, dangerous views on foreign policy as well as being an Alex Jones infowars type on conspiracy theories.

Perhaps we can agree that BOTH are horrible choices as advisors (and possible cabinet members?) and both provide insight into Cruz's thinking and decision-making.

You'd almost have to wonder... is Cruz that bad at selecting an inner circle of advisors, or are these among the few who would agree to work with him?

Yeah, Cruz needs to be sure and check in with the New York Times editorial board for approval before selecting any more advisers.

NewRoxFan, I had no idea you were on the editorial board of the NYT! I guess I am too, b/c I find these advisor choices disquieting, to say the least.

Would be interested in hearing a real defense of these people that doesn't resort to attack the messenger playground type tactics.

You're right, while not as egregious a choice as Gaffney, Gramm's selection still casts considerable doubt on Ted's judgment.

I do... not only do I sit on the NY Times Editorial Board, but I also write articles for wikipedia entries. I multi-task.

The scary thing... Donald Trump might actually build a better cabinet and group of advisors. Including Omarosa...

And since Utah is essentially a giant polygamist state...she should look for a native American with the tribe name "Longtime"...

Huge huge implications in Utah tonight on if Cruz get's at least 50% of the vote. I see Trump performing better than the polls suggest. Maybe he can get Cruz down to %48.

Also, what does he mean when he says that Muslim neighborhoods should be patrolled?

Yes, one thing to help Muslims be more loyal to the United States would be to let them know that every Muslim is under suspicion based only on their religion. They would really want to help catch and turn in terrorists who stating that the U.S. is against Islam.

For a smart guy, Ted Cruz is really dumb.

Cruz is in a very good position to pick up all 40 delegates in Utah with over 50% of the state and with McCain coming out strong for him in Arizona there's reason to think he could win that state as well.

It's kind of hard to tell in Arizona where the people stand because so little polling has been done there, but right now the assumption is that Trump is leading but I think he could underperform the numbers from the one 3 candidate poll that was done there and if he did lose the 98 delegates between Utah and Arizona, it would pretty much eliminate any possibility of Trump reaching a majority of delegates at the convention.

    Tonight's results are VERY important.

Ted Cruz says what will fire up voters...... people that have a positive or neutral opinion of Muslims were NOT ever going to vote for Cruz.

There is a good chance that Trump adds to his delegate lead tonight.... especially after the ISIS nonsense.

Perhaps, I think it's very possible the anti-Mexican racists in Arizona swing that vote for Trump, but let's face it, Trump needs a majority at the convention or he's going nowhere. A plurality won't cut it.

I don't know honestly what will happen if Trump has a plurality. Times are very different now and Trump and Cruz are both not very well liked..... and neither will graciously step aside or play nice to the media.

I honestly hope for this country that he gets his majority and then loses in the general election. A brokered convention would possibly cause serious issues for a long time.
