Commodore, can we not just post ads for candidates? I mean, I know it's free advertising and all for your guy, but it's not much of a "debate and discussion." Maybe I'm just jealous b/c I don't really have a candidate at this point. :-\
I believe in the old adage of "give 'em enough rope." Those videos will help most rational undecided voters make a determination about Ted. Fortunately for America, not the one he wants.
Here is a good article on how the Cruz SuperPacs (he has more than one, which is a good thing) are investing heavily in a Cruz ground game (going to specific voters homes, in person) in South Carolina and have been doing so going back to November. The Cruz campaign also has a strong ground game, but the Cruz SuperPacs appear to be far stronger. This is apparently unprecedented, so it will be interesting to a lot of people to see how effective this approach is. On the other hand, the typical venue for SuperPacs is to "carpet bomb" television advertising on behalf of their preferred candidate. But especially that does not appear to be working nearly as well this time around, especially in the case of the Jeb Bush SuperPac, which has wasted tens of millions of dollars on television ads to no discernible effect. Anyway, it is a good article that I thought some of you might find interesting. And it will be interesting to see on Saturday how effective this approach actually was. A lot of people in the campaign business apparently are really keeping an eye on this effort.
Good article, mojoman. Thanks. If they have a good database of "persuadable republican voters," I would think the ground effort would be extremely effective. (Sad sigh, for my personal reaction.)
How do billionaire funded super PACs supporting Cruz play into your hogwash about Cruz and political corruption?
Another substantive Bobby post. Maybe you should get a job Bobby, it'll help cut down on your prolific post average. Anyway, how does this relate to mojo's claim that Cruz will combat political corruption by engaging in it?
If you weren't such an idiot, you would understand that I wasn't defending Cruz there....but well, life is hard for people like you.
Bobby, your sociopathic self thinks everyone that disagrees with your hot takes is an idiot. Maybe you should do some self evaluation.
No, not everyone. You? Certainly. You've proven it time and time again. You just can't help yourself and that's okay, the world is full of people just like you.
Fortunately the world is not full of people like you. What a horrible world it would be. So do you have any actual comment on Cruz's corruption or do you want to just post a few more times. Maybe you can ruin this thread by posting incessantly like you're prone to do.
No, I feel the same way therefore it's perfectly rational. I'm just more polite because I understand life is desperate, no sense in adding to the misery and hate.
I do actually have more to comment about it, but I know you would fail to follow along so there's really no point. Feel free to go back to licking windows and eating crayons or whatever else you normally do when not trying to argue with your betters.
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has campaigned against government spying on law-abiding citizens, but his campaign is testing the limits with personal data from his supporters. His "Cruz Crew" mobile app is designed to gather detailed information from users' phones — tracking their physical movements and mining contact information of friends. http://www.usnews.com/news/business...ollection-helps-campaign-read-minds-of-voters The campaign’s “Cruz Crew” app mines users' cellphones for information about their physical movements along with the contact information for friends who might want nothing to do with his campaign. That information is then put into a database, which contains details about nearly every adult in the United States in an attempt to build psychological profiles that target individual voters with uncanny accuracy. Cruz's sophisticated analytics operation was heralded as key to his victory in Iowa earlier this month — the first proof, his campaign said, that the system has the potential to power him to the nomination. ... "Analytics gives the campaign a roadmap for everything we do," said Chris Wilson, data and digital director. "He has an acute understanding of our work and continually pushes me on it." ... But The Associated Press found the Cruz campaign's app — downloaded to more than 61,000 devices so far — goes furthest to glean personal data. The Cruz app prompts supporters to register using their Facebook logins, giving the campaign access to personal information such as name, age range, gender, location and photograph, plus lists of friends and relatives. Those without a Facebook account must either provide an email address or phone number to use the app. http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/po...hing-limits-in-collecting-personal-data-from/
