They didn't claim fraud. But I do think Hillary was wrong for her comments calling him illegitimate.

Please stop trying to equate what Trump did to anything any other person in power has done. Hillary was wrong in what she said but in no way was on the same level as Trump.

There is also a huge possible difference. Hillary might have believed what she said. Trump 100% knew he lost but still lied, still tried to steal the election and overturn the will of the American people and stage a coup.

Hillary Clinton and many other Democrats certainly grumbled about the election but she didn’t even contest it through lawsuits but conceded. She never tried to get state Democratic Party to put forward “alternate” electors, called for Secretary of States to find votes for her and certainly did not hold a rally in the ellipse on Jan 6th for her supporters to fight like hell or have trial by combat to prevent certification of the election. Inside the Capitol that day while some Democratic representatives objected to confirmation Joe Biden himself shut those down and confirmed Trump’s inauguration.

This false dichotomy that Republicans are trying to create about the two elections is just that. False.

In what she was saying? IIRC, she was claiming that based on Russian election interference. But I don't think a foreign misinformation campaign to help Trump makes him illegitimate. Other people felt that way because he got absolutely crushed in the popular vote. But right or wrong, that is how the election is setup. Hillary's fault she didn't do nearly enough in states she needed to carry.

This +1M. Refusing to acknowledge the difference between a defeated candidate airing her grievances publicly, months after formally conceding an election she lost, is fundamentally different than a defeated sitting president using the powers of the federal government and Republican party to attempt to stay in power even though he knew he lost.

It's bad-faith false equivalence, but a lot of these partisans have never had a problem with that before.

It's like saying that the Yankess and their fans complaining about bad calls and the wind for their loss would be the same as if Steinbrenner and Cashman were pressuring Rob Manfred to reverse the result of game 4 and then had a rally outside of MLB offices on 6th Avenue telling Yankees fans its going to be wild and they need to fight like hell to reverse the result.

And if the Yankees were working with ball manufacturers to adjust how the balls were made, but only for when they're hitting, and lobbying to adjust the rules of the game to say that using Yankee-only balls is perfectly fine and within the bylaws of the sport.

Would Cruz eat Trunp's entrails? I'd pay good money to see that.
