It doesn't really matter what your "official duties" are in that scenario. Texans are helping their neighbors and other Texans. You pitch in however you can. It doesn't have to be visible or Senatorial. But what you don't do is flee the state for Mexico. This is more than being just about optics - it's basic leadership. You don't go on a tropical vacation when your constituents who you were hired to help are freezing to death.
Infuriating that Texas elected this fool. I am confident that if a literal piece of turd was running for senate in Texas with an R next to it, it would beat any Democrat even if it was Jesus Christ himself.

I totally agree with y'all. I just think many of his other acts are far worse, but if this is the thing that helps other realize his sliminess, let's amplify it.
