I see that people are harping on the "New York values" comment that Cruz made.......but isn't New York proving him right when Trump is polling over 50% there? If over 50% of your state thinks that Donald Trump would make a good president when 70% of the country view him unfavorably....doesn't that show a problem with their values?

I mean, maybe the state of NY should prove Cruz wrong and vote for Kasich or really anyone but the guy who is essentially a stereotype of a NY douchebag.

Except the 50% is of the GOP while the 70% is of all people. He's not polling anywhere close to 50% with the population of NY.

Fair enough, but it clearly applies to NY Republicans.

Hugh Hewitt says that the Republican D.C. establishment resents Cruz because "He made them pieces on his chessboard."

It is easy to see how these people might not appreciate that. And what's more, it also appears that Cruz has made Trump a piece on his chessboard as well. You can just imagine where this race might be heading if Jeb Bush was facing off against Ted Cruz as this contest winds down, perhaps discussing a contested convention with Jeb in second place.

But with Trump in the lead, Cruz has against all odds found a way to marshall the forces of the Republican establishment outside of DC to support his campaign, and the DC crew appears to be slowly but surely starting to come around. And the convention will be run by the broader Republican establishment, not just the DC component that we ordinarily refer to with disdain as "the establishment."

Here is the video from MSNBC:

This truly amazing to behold. Ted Cruz is orchestrating a virtual miracle in political terms, right before our eyes. With all this in mind, does anyone really still believe that Ted Cruz is not well positioned to win the Republican nomination?

My gf was volunteering at an event like 3 or 4 years ago. She was in charge of taking pictures and making sure the people's names were correct for the captions. She took a picture of mr and mrs cruz and went to ask who they were and mrs cruz decided to berate her and call her out in front of everyone for not knowing who Ted Cruz was. She just could not believe someone did not know who they were. Ted just kinda smirked. My gf hates no one and was kind enough to volunteer her time but she is not fond of that couple at all. Seems like it could have been handled differently by them.

The personal anecdote aside, it doesn't surprise me Mrs. Cruz, a powerful woman in her own right, and if timing is accurate the wife of a sitting US Senator, would be upset by someone not knowing who they were.

There we have it D&D Ted Cruz is officially disqualified from being POTUS because his wife got mad at a photographer who didn't know who she was.

Please be sure to hold on to that little story to tell at parties, I'm sure it will knock em dead.

It's just another anecdote in a long, long list of anecdotes that pretty much conclude that the only people who like Ted Cruz are people who have never met Ted Cruz.

Your girlfriend's experience pretty much falls in line with how a large number of people who have interacted with them feel as well. Ted Cruz is a humongous douche, you can tell it just from looking at his repulsive face, so it's not surprising that his wife is unlikable as well. Even his own party hates him, they've just found someone that they despise even more in Donald Trump.

No one that knows or does business with Ted Cruz likes him.

Honestly that is what will keep him from being President.

In Mrs. Cruz's defense, Ted Cruz does have an unforgettable face.

    Unfortunately.
