Because we don't play in the Eastern Conference.

You know, I'm really not sure we DO need more than a healthy Yao to go with this roster.

Maybe one more offensively talented swingman since there's a bit of a hole there (can Chase fill it?). I bet we wouldn't have a fantastic regular season record even with a healthy Yao (but still good) with that lineup, but we are a beastly playoff team IMO, and we are a good matchup for some of the most likely opponents that we could face in the conference finals and finals (Lakers, Cavs, Magic come to mind).

The question is whether a healthy Yao exists anymore.

Be realistic ... most likely we will not win the championship before 2015.

Yeah - that's what I was thinking. But why is there no option in the poll for 2012 without Yao!

I can't vote with the options listed

Its all gonna depend on the Tmac trade. I think we have a good core of guys, but we still need a legitimate star wing. Even then, the Lakers have more talent.

We can't win with Yao leading. I'm sorry but that is the the truth. He is too injure prone and lack mental instincts in a close game. He can easily be fronted and we have yet make any adjustment to that for the last 2 years.

I like Yao, he's a really nice guy. Les Alexander will hold on to Yao for as long as possible because of the revenue that Yao brings in.
