When are we going to start criticizing Rafael Stone?

I think Smith Jr. just got tossed together with Banchero and Chet into the Big 3 of College players...

It was convenient, I think he has the entitlement of a future superstar but not the IT factor too.

 

I do think these players all have upsides.

Wagner just found the niche he needed to develop better and maybe faster. A better fit for the Magic.

Things are there you can't explain, it's not logical.

 

I mean most of us have not been on DD level of talent evaluation.

Personally I believe my instincts after they enter the NBA.

The hype might be real but at the end of the day writers are just writing stuff.

Jabari right now looks like a defensive version of Christian Wood at best but he has been a mediocre or worse shooter.

Wagner is the best player of last year's draft. Top 5 picks:
1. Wagner
Joint 2 : JGreen+ Sengun
4.Josh Giddey
5.Cade Cunningham

JGreen and Sengun may catch Wagner up in near future, under a new coach.

 

None of them are stars right now. Stop it.

 

Wagner played 2 full seasons of college ball vs 17 Gleague games in a bubble tournament straight from high school for Jalen AND Franz doesn't have to self create nearly as much and has a higher percentage of his makes assisted. Meaning he gets more easy opportunities sprinkled in during the game(coaching and pg play being the worst in the league for the Rockets)

Don't be surprised if Green is the better player when he's 23 or 24.

 

Are the Magic winning that many more games or something?

The Rockets aren't winning games because their most talented players can't buy alcohol yet, we have a pg who also is in full development mode and we have a nepotism head coach who looks like the most push over coach I've ever seen in NBA history.

A team like this needs structure and a vet steady ship pg. Think Conley or Brunson type player. The Rockets have neither. Conley makes more sense on this roster than that Jazz roster. Jazz should be tanking hard to get elite talent in the draft as the only valuable player they have is Lauri. They should get some of our picks for Conley.

 

People keep talking about how this team has poor culture, I think these people see what they want to see, not what's actually there.

You look at the offseason - all these kids were in the gym all offseason working on getting better - and it shows, even if it doesn't show up on the W/L column.

Hard work is all about culture. Stone & Silas get that out of them.

You also see them barking at each other during games or on the sidelines - that is holding each other accountable.

You hear Eric Gordon being a malcontent because he wants out .... He's been checked out for the last 2 seasons. Yet you don't hear these young guys responding to his stupidity - "too much isolation" when he's the biggest black hole on the team, chucking 30 footers or driving into multiple defenders and not having fun .... and they don't isolate very much to begin with (7% of their total possessions Teams Isolation | Stats | NBA.com)

What you don't see, what happens behind closed doors, might be even more important than what you do see.

It was just yesterday that KPJ was taking responsibility for not doing his job well enough - rather than see that as an indication of maturity, we've got people making fun of him ... Twitter said it, it must be true. ClutchFans is a fickle place.

I'm assuming Green will go to the allstar game for the Rockets this year and when that happens he will be proclaimed as a superstar.

Ain't nobody an all star yet. We need to tank until we have a top 1-3 pick that is a bona fide perennial all star.

There's the biggest chance Green becomes a Michael Redd level player. 25 ppg over 6 years and 3 first round appearances.
