Well that's the way to handle it. You ask to speak to the manager and if they don't accommodate you then you find out a customer service number and/or how to contact the manager's superior.
There is no such thing as a "no refunds" policy... if you do not get the goods or services you paid for, you are entitled to a refund... end of story... otherwise the court will back you up... maybe not over a mcnugget, but still.
im black and i dont care for mcdonalds. ide rather jack in the box, whataburger, or sonic. but when i read this i figured it was a black person too
"Prices and participation may vary." Obviously this owner does not participate in the McDonald's refund policy.
The only thing this woman could have done is asked to speak to the manager who could have also refused since the police weren't going to get involved. I've called customer service numbers for fast food restaurants. I'm pretty sure they don't send out refund checks for bad service. I've gotten vouchers which is not what this woman wanted.
Wait, I thought we liked KFC. I'm really getting behind on my stereotypes. I need to start going to the meetings again.
Woke up to the calls being played on the radio this morning. It was hilarious, but the guys on 94.7 in Austin were straight up being racist. Spent the whole segment making fun of how she talked. I didn't think it was very appropriate.
Apparently it was the manager who told her there were no refunds. Theoretically, McDonalds committed a crime when they took money for a product they were not offering. Calling the police is not necessarily completely nuts in that situation, though it's obviously not an emergency. I mean, if I agree to sell you my car for $5,000, you hand me $5,000 in cash and then I tell you I'm not selling you my car but I'm also keeping the money, the police are going to arrest me. The fact that it was only over about $5 doesn't mean it was suddenly okay to steal the money. KFC? That's the white man's chicken.
I understand the no refund policy, I don't understand why it was applied so strictly in this case. As hard as it is to believe, people return fast food.
I've returned it several times. I can remember once was because there was hair in the food and once because they didn't put any meat on the freaking bun!
Well sure. I can see a no refund policy making some sense, but it's not really a "refund" when you're just taking someone's money and not giving them what they paid for. That's just stealing. I can understand the in most cases, when there's a problem, the restaurant can just fix the problem (they give you the wrong item, or screw up the order somehow, or you find a mouse in your salad, whatever). But when you take money in exchange for a specific item and you don't have that item, you're not allowed to say "Tough. You'll take an alternate item because we don't give refunds."
Those are legitimate reasons. But people have abused the system enough, that I can understand why management would resort to all sales final.
Do they still make them out of 100% gelatin these days? God those things were awful back in junior high. Years later I tried them, same thing. Might of changed the ingredients but how anyone eats the garbage at McDonalds is beyond me, lol.
KFC? That's the white man's chicken.[/QUOTE] I think he meant Churches chicken! If KFC is white mans chicken, then what is Popeyes? My folks love popeyes.....im hispanic...but i love KFC...black peoples like Churches and Chinese like head...hmmm.... interesting...
