When and where to buy college books??

    had to bring this thread back. have any of you guys "rented" a book. i was looking at some of the links you had up and some offered to rent for a semester which seems like an amazing deal. anyone done it? is it legit? im thinking about doing that now.

    This is exactly what I do. Another thing I do is go on www.ratemyprofessor.com and see if any of the reviews say the book isn't needed because he teaches off of his notes. When I do need the book I use ebay and save a ton, then turn around and resell it when I'm done.

    What I do is get the old editions of the books, it saves you almost 80% but most of the time it is the same material just unimportant extra stuff added.
