Consider myself agnostic but I believe religious affiliation are evil (Baptists, Mormon, Catholic, etc.).
I was born and raised Catholic, married to a very religious Catholic woman in a Catholic church but my views are somewhat divided. I still question why things happen and I know in every religion people ask the same things and get the same answers ( Just have faith because it's in Gods plan ). The thing is I believe in a higher power but I don't think it's in Gods plan. I've come up with a theory that might suggest why things happen and why there is a God. But that is a long story which will be for another day
Donations for the Reverend Moon? ( Kramer punches him ) Jews for Jesus? ( Crack ! ) Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Read about Jehovah's witness? ( Kramer kicks him ) How about Buddhism? ( Whack! ) Help Jerry's kids? ( punch! ) Scientology? Avoid nuclear power? ( Bap ! Bop ! )
This is kind of weird. Just being Christian is so generic and really doesn't much. I am a fair-weathered, non-conformist, non-demominational Christian who used to be who doesn't totally write off ideas (like Evolution, Abortion, and etc.) that aren't necessarily found in the Bible. I know I am going to ruffle a few feathers with this, but it doesn't have the answers for everything. It was written over 10 centuries ago.
Not ruffling my feathers, for the record. I'm with you 100%. Of course, not all of it was written 10 centuries ago.
I do, but there aren't really any choices up there that really fit...though I voted Religoin is evil. DD
I am a Christian, but the Americanized version of Christianity is a huge turn off to me. Too commercial, too compromised, too reflective of one of the most corrupt cultures of all time. Did "pop culture" even exist a 100 years ago? I would not even set foot in 90 % of evangelical churches. I would be afraid that Jesus would show up with whips and turn over their coffee bar. Please American Christians stop reading each others books on how to succeed and get rich and get back to the basics. Jesus is alive and so is His Word. His voice can still be heard!
