rockets beat the clippers without their starting pg and pf, and we don't even know what moves morey has planned before the playoffs next year, and again if last year taught us anything is that injuries can drastically change the outlook on a season.

Just a ploy by DJ to get the Clippers to pony up more money for him. Like how Bosh used us last year.

Sounds like Deandre had a serious falling out with his agent Dan Fegan. When your agent is not present when one of his max contract NBA stars signs his deal, something is missing. I mean, Jerry Maguire would have been there. I think Deandre must have felt used or rushed or something because he never tweeted anything about joining the Mavs. Plus, I would be the first to say that Deandre is a total knucklehead, but for not even giving Cuban or supposed BFF Chandler Parsons a call back must mean something more than just being classless. I'm sure there was some falling out over the weekend and second thoughts when he looked at the big picture. Signing with the Mavs would have been a terrible move for Deandre.

Jason Terry and Josh Smith were a big key to getting the Rockets back in the series vs the Clippers. If anything, the Rockets were lucky they were missing their starting PG and PF because the extra minutes Terry and Smith provided were the keys to victory. In addition to Josh Smith, Trevor Ariza, and Corey Brewer catching complete fire from downtown over the course of three games. And who do you consider the Rockets starting PF because Terrance Jones played in the series vs the Clippers? DMo?

it probably would not have ever had to come to terry and smith if patbev and dmo were healthy. at the end of the day we're a better team with them than without them.

The Mavs should mega-tank (bottom 4) for Ben Simmons.

They look like the same team with Paul Pierce and Lance Stephenson added, I'm not really scared.

Teams would typically take their best wing defender and put them on CP3 because Matt Barnes was a whatever player on offense. You think teams can disrespect Paul Pierce like that? For example, the Rockets used to hide Harden on Matt Barnes last year, but now he's going to have to chase JJ Redick around screens all game now. I doubt the Rockets are going to want Harden on Paul Pierce being that Pierce enjoys posting up smaller players. Pick your poison with the Clippers starting five now. Oh and they have Stephenson off the bench who fills their hole at wing defender from last year. And Wes Johnson is an athletic wing that will be coming off the bench next year too.

It wasn't Beal that Harden was defending. If posting up James Harden is his best idea you'd be better off with him not bothering, it's the one thing Harden excels at defensively.

This is 1000000x worse than Dwights (three day) "indecision" but no media hate. ESPN is the worst.

I bet Cuban doesn't just tank, I be he makes an absolute mockery and spectacle of it.

Fill out the roster with undrafted free agents. Build around Singh for the season.

Then I'd sign Austin Rivers, tell him you see him having a great role for the team this upcoming year as we rebuild. Then when he signs, make him the towel boy for the entire year as a big FU to Doc.

Wow its going to be funny.

Still a lot of time left in the offseason to make a trade for another playmaker and improve the team. So, I'm not really scared of the Clippers. I think the Rockets got over that Clippers hump during the season and will never look back after coming back from down 1-3 against them. This whole DJ saga has been hilarious. Mavs forums and radio is priceless and Twitter delivered as usual.

It'll be interesting if all 29 teams employ the hack-a-jordan tactic every time they face the Clippers.

Jordan is a ****ing *******. It's one thing you eat your promise. It's another that you don't even have the courage to answer the phone and apologize. What a coward!

No worries about Clips; CP3 will end up getting hurt and DJ will soon be fat and overpaid.

    Mixed feelings here.

If Dwight had done such a thing when he was a FA, I would have been livid even though it would have been
    legal.

Perhaps this episode will reduce the enormous leverage that Fegan and other agents to a lesser degree, have to steer their clients to their favorite teams.

This clearly is a conflict of interest, and should be taken up seriously by the NBA.

DeAndre will make the Clippers stronger. He wouldn't have been able to do that in Dallas.

I am pleased with the discomfort that the Mavs are in. Morey couldn't do anything about Chandler Parsons, but it did turn out all right for us in the end. I am glad Morey didn't overpay Parsons.

I honestly like this on quite few levels. 1st is the obvious, that Mavs get screwed. Second, the more competition in the west, the more championship that Rockets could possibly win would be sweet, i mean, you got the likes of GSW, Thunder, Spurs, another contender won't kill us lol. If we win, we have to go thru best teams anyway.
