I had a sizable "buy" for C at the confirm screen at a price of about $50. I wanted a strong company with a good $US dividend stream. I don't know why I backed down -- but I did. Sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make! (anybody remember CMGI -- I fed that puppy all the way down and then some. Dollar cost averaging FTL ).
Just saw this. Forgot to mention that once you include taxes and insurance (I don't escrow), I'm just about breaking even. I get what you're saying about building up equity over time, but with me it's all about the risk. I don't like constantly having that risk that something could go wrong with the house and really **** me up. That said, I'm going to hold onto it at least until the market goes back up hopefully in another year or 2.
Just buy a $30 athletic mouth guard from Academy. That's what I did when the dentist kept pestering me about my night teeth grinding.
