College: Nothing, love U of H. Probably the only complaint is the auditorium class and no matter where u go, u cant avoid that.

Work: Love my work but pay sucks. In March, I will be there for 2 years and only got ONE raise since i started.

I hope you were just joking Freak. In case you were not, I have attended college since 1998 but have heard from former students and current faculty that the parking has been terrible since the mid 80's. That's how I know and I hate this college and this town I got accepted to UH (my first choice) but I got a scholarship to my current university so why pay out-of-state tuition when I can go for free?

I'm taking 2 night classes for my MBA, so I'll answer the college one and do it first:

College: hate getting instructors that make you not want to go to class like this clown I have for Managerial Economics on Monday nights...I absolutely dread Monday nights because of him. Listening to him lecture is akin to watching paint dry.

Job: not having anything to do (which is why I'm on this site so much during the day) and my supervisor (he's a prick).

I was thinking there's nothing I don't like about working for myself...until I read your post...:(

Now that you brought it up, I've one client that's just won't pay up. It's about $1500 and it sure would have made Christmas a bit more enjoyable...

hmmm...that makes me think of a possible new thread.

I have a cubicle, but instead of the standard four walls with an opening in one...I have a right triangle with a solid "wall", a wall with an opening, and the hypothenos is a glass wall that faces into the lobby.

Everyone that enters the building can watch me work. Think about it, you're working one day you look up and through the glass, you see rocketman95 is looking at you. Not the pretty view I expected when they said my cube had a window.

I am an account manager, and I have to call all of my customers who have past due invoices..... What the hell? So basically I get to put the me and the customers raport on the line because they owe us money? Its bullsh!t..... They should hire someone to specifically do that part time, like some college kid. The last thing I want to do, is come across as pushy, and lose a customer...... the whole process blows, but the rest of my job is cake......

Isn't this a good thing. Please give me a job where you don't do anything. Although I will say calling people all day for surveys was boring as hell so maybe I wanna do something. Of course not getting paid jack makes calling people more boring. Anyways, there's always naps. That's how my friends got thru their summer job.

Job: Nothing -- my job is both spiritually enriching and easy as all hell )

School The way UH campus just sucks the life out of you the minute you come within 5 miles of the school.

Job = I find it difficult to get used to the fact that you have to accept people are different and you have to put up with different opinions in an office environment. I work for the government and they are VERY big on this naturally.

Generally, I get along really well with most people at my work and have some really cool friends there. However, there's always the old fat woman who will say something like "why don't we just sink every refugee ship that comes into our waters...that will solve our refugee problems"

You feel like saying "why don't we halve the amount of food fat chicks like you eat...we could feed 100 refugees" but you can't say it...because it's work and we are all supposed to try and get along.

Uni = was cool. Much less ignorance and bigotry than the 'real' world. Too much ideology and not enough practicality though...:D

i'm an attorney...least favorite thing about my job is uncertainty. it's all human behavior, which is entirely unpredictable....particularly when opposing attorneys start to internalize their clients' emotions

I have a question for people in a professional career: Is it true what they say, that if you like/love your job that you never work a day in your life?

Yep. It's so easy to roll out of bed and into my chair. I better add that it's attitude too.

    ...okay back to play.

I work and go to school at the University of Tuck Fexas. My least favorite things about it are the crowds, the parking (or lack thereof), the disorganization and lack of direction within my own work group, the commute to get there in the first place, and the way everyone follows each other blindly like a herd of cattle.

(to add something positive to this post: my favorite thing about it is that I'm almost done, if I can just make myself finish)

I'm confused? Do you goto UT and hate it or do you go to a university that hates UT?

    I love UT.

I'm right there with you. I'm a few semesters late, but I'm gonna walk in the Spring; if senioritis doesn't hit too hard that is. I still ahve 6 hours remaining, but I will take those via correspondence.
