Whoever we are Wherever we’re from We shoulda noticed by now Our behavior is dumb And if our chances Expect to improve It’s gonna take a lot more Than tryin’ to remove The other race Or the other whatever From the face Of the planet altogether They call it the earth Which is a dumb kinda name But they named it right ’cause we behave the same... We are dumb all over Dumb all over, Yes we are Dumb all over, Near ’n far Dumb all over, Black ’n white People, we is not wrapped tight Nurds on the left Nurds on the right Religous fanatics On the air every night Sayin’ the bible Tells the story Makes the details Sound real gory ’bout what to do If the geeks over there Don’t believe in the book We got over here You can’t run a race Without no feet ’n pretty soon There won’t be no street For dummies to jog on Or doggies to dog on Religous fanatics Can make it be all gone (I mean it won’t blow up ’n disappear It’ll just look ugly For a thousand years...) You can’t run a country By a book of religion Not by a heap Or a lump or a smidgeon Of foolish rules Of ancient date Designed to make You all feel great While you fold, spindle And mutilate Those unbelievers From a neighboring state To arms! to arms! Hooray! that’s great Two legs ain’t bad Unless there’s a crate They ship the parts To mama in For souvenirs: two ears (get down!) Not his, not hers, (but what the hey? ) The good book says: (it gotta be that way!) But their book says: Revenge the crusades... With whips ’n chains ’n hand grenades... Two arms? two arms? Have another and another Our God says: There ain’t no other! Our God says It’s all okay! Our God says This is the way! It says in the book: Burn ’n destroy... ’n repent, ’n redeem ’n revenge, ’n deploy ’n rumble thee forth To the land of the unbelieving scum on the other side ’cause they don’t go for what’s in the book ’n that makes ’em bad So verily we must choppeth them up And stompeth them down Or rent a nice french bomb To poof them out of existance While leaving their real estate just where we need it To use again For temples in which to praise our god (cause he can really take care of business!) And when his humble tv servant With humble white hair And humble glasses And a nice brown suit And maybe a blond wife who takes phone calls Tells us our God says It’s okay to do this stuff Then we gotta do it, ’cause if we don’t do it, We ain’t gwine up to hebbin! (depending on which book you’re using at the Time...can’t use theirs... it don’t work ...it’s all lies...gotta use mine...) Ain’t that right? That’s what they say Every night... Every day... Hey, we can’t really be dumb If we’re just following god’s orders Hey, let’s get serious... God knows what he’s doin’ He wrote this book here An’ the book says: He made us all to be just like him, So... If we’re dumb... Then God is dumb... (an’ maybe even a little ugly on the side) ------------------- Thank You Mr Frank Zappa! A white boy rappa before his time!
Do you think Jin actually knows that person's girlfriend? Tupac knew Biggie and Faith and was friends with Biggie. You're talking about guys who have probably never met each other and don't know anything about each other's friends and family. Second of all, I know who Faith is, and so do millions of other people. It's totally different, and its classless and ignorant and is negative for rap music. Furthermore, he crossed the line because he did it for money. All of that nonesense was about selling records, I really doubt Tupac thought Puff and Biggie tried to have him killed. Puffy isn't some ex thug like Suge Knight. He's never had that kind of rep.
Weezer - No One Else "My girl's got a big mouth With which she blabbers a lot She laughs at most everything Whether it's funny or not And if you see her Tell her it's over now" That's hardcore, man...
I meant do you know Faith personally, no you probably don't. So what's the difference between Jin lying and Tupac, if he was lying? Nothing. He said repeatedly after he got shot the he believed they did set him up long before he made "Hit 'Em Up". I know you and millions know her but do you know her personally? I doubt it. A lot of hip-hop these days are considered negative, classless or whatever not just Tupac and I know your not saying that Tupac is the only one but point out other people for the same thing. You think Jay-Z and Nas really hate each other? No, because they've said it themselves that their battle raps were pure entertainment and for making money. Let's see Puffy has never had that rep huh? What about the beating he and two associates gave Steve Stout, executive at Interscope records for airing the wrong video? What about the nightclub shooting? The getaway from the nightclub shooting. He may not have the jail time and other past experiences of Suge but Sean Combs is no angel.
I think you should listen to Jay-z's Takeover again...he probably had one good line in the whole song...it was about nas having "one good album in 10 years avg"...just my take
You're right, but it's one of my favorite diss songs anyway. Kanye's beat... Better than any of the lame Ja Rule/50 or Dupri/Dre crap.
99% of these rappers reppin' thug life talk about it but aint about it...especially Tupac. His gangsta persona got him killed.
it makes me laught when i see these rappers acting all hardcore on tv and in their videos. but i like the music, mainly because of its hard lyrics. hit em up was a great song. anyone heard of "u da wanksta" by blackchild
As others said, most people who were battling did not have and real beef but just trying to make money. Tupac however did have a serious problem with bad boy because he felt that beggie knew who shot him but would not say. "Hit em up" was an atempt to destroy the carrers of biggie and puffy. which for me worked because I dont listen to either of em. and for the record Tupac GOAT "Hit em up" greatest diss song of all time so GET OVER IT
Tell us what "Thug Life" is please, since you're such an expert and you know these people, their past and their daily activities. Better yet tell us what Tupac's interpretation of "Thug Life" was because it stood for something as far as he was concerned. Many rappers who actually rap about the drugs, killing, etc. have lived it, Tupac, Biggie, Master P etc.
KRS-ONE has a song called "Outta Here". It is a diss song that calls out all the commercial rap out there. This dude is straight up old school and one of the pioneers of the whole hip hop genre. Ever think about when your Outta Here Condominium and Beach house Outta Here No doubt BDP is old school But we aint goin out This is an attack on all the commercial crap that has been called "rap" since the mid 90's. KRS-one and Boogie Down Productions were true pioneers. If anyone has the right to diss todays music, it is them.
Hit Em Up's definitely going to go down as one of the best. Whether it was real or just for money or true doesn't really matter, and we'll never know. But Tupac's skills produced a song that would not and could not be matched by Bad Boy Entertainment, and in lots of people's minds, that song put a damper on every BadBoy song threafter. One of my favourite lines in any diss song though is: "Slap ma mom, slap the **** out of her She can't sue you, she wouldn't get a buck out of ya Coz you're broke as ****, you suck, you're a ****ing joke If you was really selling dope, well then what the ****'d you stop for If you slew some crack, you'd make a lot more money than you do from rap" That's Eminem, not sure what the song is called though...
if you're gonna go there... you have to mention krs' "step into a world". its the same thing about calling out commercial rap. "i'm not sayin I'm number one... ...oops. sorry, i lied. i'm number one, two, three, four and five" good tune.
I don't know about y'all, but for my money I'll take ClutchFans very own moestavern19 and his "Diss It All" against another BBS member, truth. The classic samples Jagged Edge's "Trade It All."
