I've been trying all different kinds of fish this year, and in my experience I rate them as follows

    1. Chilean sea bass (though I feel guilty for eating it)
    2. Pompano
    3. Flounder

The rest tasted pretty similar: red snapper, halibut, grouper, swordfish, redfish, rainbow trout, catfish, tilapia.

What are your favorite kinds of fish?

Raw: Bluefin tuna, though I don't eat it anymore. So I guess hamachi.

    Cooked: Probably coho salmon.

Grilled: red mullet and gilt-head bream. Pour some olive oil over it and serve with chard. Delicious.

lol. Nobody'd want to eat a Patagonian toothfish as ugly as sin as it is, so let's call it something really classy... Chilean Sea Bass.

I was chatting with a guy I work with remotely about this. He lives in Chile and said nobody down there wants to pay the crazy prices people do up here for the toothfish, so it costs half as much in many places. He said most of the time, the "Chilean Sea Bass" you get in some restaurants there isn't even Chilean Sea Bass... it's some other less expensive species used to get more money off of people.

Catfish ... no lie. Love me some catfish. Fry it, blacken it, grill it, I don't care. I love me some catfish.

    1. Red Snapper. Been all over the world, tasted a bunch of stuff and still haven't found anything better.

    2. Catfish. Swai is an excellent substitute. Hopefully it stays under the radar and the price doesn't increase.

    3. Scallops

    4. Salmon

Talipia isn't my favorite. Told my wife to stop buying it.

Can't decide on one, I like them all a lot except for cooked salmon or tuna.
