I've been to alot of Rockets games, but the one that sticks out to me was about a couple or so years ago. It was the March 16, 2008 game vs. the Lakers. We had just beaten the Lakers to take the top spot in the West and had won our 22nd game in a row. Never forget that game!

Also it was awesome seeing live in person this little tussle:

In recent years, this was one of the more enjoyable regular season games I watched.
Nothing better than seeing the Rockets D shutdown Lebron and the Cavs.

    Favorite recent memory probably:

I forgot how we got to OT in the first place before the kiss of death....game tied and Person missed a wide open 3 that rolled inside the rim about twice and spun out.....being so close to losing made it so much better at the end...I was almost certain Person was going to knock it down when he got it :(

I know you said moment, but this probably one of the best memories in rockets history.

Tough. As much as I have enjoyed other glorious Rocket moments, these two plays I'll remember forever:

Ralph Sampson's miracle one second shot in 1985 against Lakers to advance to WCF Finals
    or
Vernon Maxwell's big 3 in game 7 in 1993 Finals vs Knicks to solidify Houston's first championship

I have a couple that are from different generations. These are in no particular order but are in Date order:

    1) The 1981 Playoffs. It was the first round against the defending champion Lakers.....Bill Willoughby blocking Kareem's UN-block-able sky-hook and the pic of them on the cover of SI. Seeing it live did not do the justice the picture did catching Bills palm on the ball with the bottom of his feet around Kareem's waste.

    2) There are so many to pick from Dream that I couldn't pick one. When he first came into the league, he blocked a gaurd from the Lakers? shot out to half court. He looked like a man playing with little kids the way he just spiked the ball off the guy. The other is the tomahawk he threw down in the grill of Wayne (Tree) Rollins of Atlanta. Something special about grilling another shot blocker.

    3) Finally, Yao's first game against Shaq when he blocked the first two shots Shaq took. It was right after the whole kissing Kenny's Ass thing and it was a special moment. That was when I knew he was legit and took away all the fears I had of him being snapped like a pretzel by the big Diesel!!

My favorite memories are Ralph Sampson's shot to send the Rockets to the Finals in 1986 and Maxwell hitting the 3 over Starks to seal the deal and win Houston's first ever title in any professional sport.

You're thinking of Game 5 when Wesley Person rimmed out a wide-open 3 at the end of regulation. The Kiss of Death was in Game 7.

    The kiss of death

Man Kevin Johnson, Barkley and the Suns, that was a war that series. We were down 3-1 to Phoenix and came back to win it in game 7 with that shot. Only 3 or 4 teams all time came back from that much.

Vernon Maxwell's shot at the end of game 7 in 1994. The sense that the Rockets were going to win the title was unbelievable.

Love all of the mentions so far (though I thought Boki would get more love for his Malone swat)

Here are some additional ones from more recent memory:

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kG4TrRpFhRQ&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kG4TrRpFhRQ&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
    Landry's block on DWill...

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6_eY-FWAb2s&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6_eY-FWAb2s&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Mutombo's last game...not a favorite, but I will always remember the Cookie Monster, and Carl will too:

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/r_9AIjN_Agc&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/r_9AIjN_Agc&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

    And Nachbar/Malone:
    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/R5gGbsSMbXo&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/R5gGbsSMbXo&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
