    Morning all and Merry Christmas!

Have not been on the board for a few days due to the family being in town!

    What a weekend!

The best thing I got for Christmas was watching my brother-in-law get married at our house on Saturday night!

The second best thing I got was my first DVD player! I have now officially entered the 21st century!

I got it for Christmas, so I didn't pay for it. I think it cost around $240. (estimation from my mom, who got me the gift) I may try it out today... hopefully it works well.

By the way, when people tell ya that your Christmas presents are in the mail, it means they're just sending you all the stuff they got that they didn't want. Crazy-ass Lompocan. :p :)

Dress socks . . . believe it or not. I've been needing more dress socks for work but have been too lazy to go buy some. Now I can stop wearing blue socks with my olive slacks :D

In all seriousness, the best gift was the home cooking. A master chef I am not.

I would have to say a Titleist light brown Texas Longhorn hat. It is not spectacular, but I did not expect to get it.

Gifts that you like but take you completely by surprise (because you had not clue about getting it) are the best gifts.

Literally, all I've gotten so far is a Bible, a box of candy canes, and some Christmas decorations. Don't worry- I'm going to see my parents later, and they have the rest of my presents. In my family, we give each other tons of stuff... in my husband's family, they give each other something they probably picked up at the grocery. :)

I don't really need stuff now. I just need... oh, somebody to pay for stuff for me if I go broke this summer when I'm trying to take some time off. :)

I didn't get all that much this year because there wasn't anything particular I really needed. I got a limited editions texans football, mini helmet, and 2001 yearbook. I also got a few cubes for autographed baseballs and a cell phone a few weeks back. My parents are mainly going to give me money since I'm going to need a lot of it next year when I'm off to college. I'm kinda getting less for Christmas this year and less for my birthday when it comes in March because I want to get a new Dell laptop this summer before I go to college.. For those of you who own dell's.. they as good as they claim on tv..?

My son made me a CD with a host of my favorite songs. And he threw on a few of his favorites, too! It's very eclectic.

I don't know if anything is as good as it is said to be on TV, but my Dell works much better than any of the Gateways or Compaqs at my dad's office.

vj23k.. that's good to hear.. my parents are just a little reluctant to buy something from dell because they dont actually have a store or whatever wehre you can go try it out and all..

hmm at least dell is based in texas.. if i end up at UT (depending on where else i'm accepted to) i can always go to michael dell's house hehe and have him fix it lol

i can see it now.. 2am one morning.. "mr. dell.. i heard about how you stand behind your products so i was wondering if you could fix my dell so i can finish my term paper".. ok maybe not
