Yao and T-mac could play better, but I still dont see why the fans focus is on them. We have alot of no-shows on this team, and its not the star players.
yao just seemed to have his timing off all night. Offensive fouls always seem to throw yao off his game and after that horrible call i think he started to play passive
Well nobody played well but to call out another player to take attention away from the crap game Yao played is very, very weak. Pryuen, I know you care about Yao more than you care about the Rockets as a whole but you will never have ground to stand on when dude turns the ball over 8 times, has been worked over on the defensive end time and time again and his superb shooting has gone south with the rest of the team. Yao is a max player which means he needs to man up and not play like a passive little girl. Here in Houston we were spoiled by watching Dream now it is not fair to compare Yao to Dream because Yao could not hold Dream's jock strap right about now but Yao IS the best center today and 8 to's, getting his shot blocked time and time again plus getting taken by Boozer in this series makes people mad. I think Yao will bounce back, the key is he needs to not put the ball on the floor and either just go up with it or pass right back out. Yao also needs to be more aggressive from the get go. We all love Yao we just expect more. This also goes for Alston (5 to's), T-Mac, Luther, Howard, Battier etc. etc.
It's coach's fault, sorry, I hate to blame on coach, but obviously, Gundy over-relies on superstars. Sloan just shut down 2 players for a win, no need to be smarter than the fifth grade to figure it out!
I am a huge Yao fan but very disappointed with Yao's performance so far. This is not my dreamed Yao that I dreamed before playoff started, he must be maneating and dominant, don't even give one chance for enemies to breathe, just kill them mentally and practically, kill them all.
who are you going to rely on? luther? battier? chuck? rafer? for offense? come on. this team is a 2 star team. You want contributions from others, of course, but you just have to face reality and other than tmac/yao this team is very bland, talent wise
Ok....the team sucked last night. Everybody can talk about how much they hated the performances....but shut up...the game is over with....it was one game....a very horrible game....but get over it. Would all feel better if Yao got traded to another team and JVG resigned to coach somewhere else? How can anyone be stupid enough to criticize 26 pts. and 13 rebs.?
Yao's holding the ball too long in the post. He'll catch and just hold, trying to nudge his defender. I think he needs to catch and immediately start his dribble or take a turnaround jumper/hook to give the defender less time to react. He could also try to get better position in the paint next time, but at the same time he hasn't gotten the best passes inside. ...and Tmac needs to a take a few less 20ft jumpers and drive more...Head needs to make some three's...everyone needs to play good defense for 48 minutes...etc...
Not to try to blame the game on Yao at all here cause nobody had a good game last night. But Yao just looked extremely slow nowadays, slower than the usual himself. Does he gain weight? SI
Can someone give a detailed breakdown of all 19 turnovers in last game? Unfortunately I was not able to watch the game last night
Yao did have a bad game last night but I expect Yao will come out on fire tomorrow night. I pissed off yesterday when Yao was on the floor fighting for the ball and everyone else just watching. What wrong with that picture? Is it take five to win ?
The following are the laundry list of 19 turn overs in last game. I think now I felt much better for game 4. I think the first two turnovers are the most critical ones. Since I think they messed up Yao (and the team) mentally for the rest of the game. But those are correctable mistakes, and Yao will not do the same in game 4. If Yao can get it going in 1st quarter, then he usually can do a lot more damage the rest of the game. 1st qrtr 10:43 HOU Travelling turnover on Yao Ming 10:14 HOU Lost ball turnover on Yao Ming, Stolen by Mehmet Okur 7:18 HOU Lost ball turnover on Rafer Alston, Stolen by Derek Fisher 6:12 HOU Offensive Foul turnover on Tracy McGrady 4:43 HOU Offensive Foul turnover on Yao Ming 1:19 HOU Lost ball turnover on Tracy McGrady, Stolen by Jarron Collins 2nd qrtr 11:02 HOU Lost ball turnover on Yao Ming, Stolen by Jarron Collins 8:18 HOU Offensive Foul turnover on Yao Ming 7:18 HOU Lost ball turnover on Rafer Alston, Stolen by Deron Williams 1:15 HOU Bad pass turnover on Rafer Alston 3rd qrtr 8:52 HOU Lost ball turnover on Yao Ming, Stolen by Derek Fisher 8:22 HOU Lost ball turnover on Chuck Hayes, Stolen by Deron Williams 4:05 HOU Lost ball turnover on Yao Ming, Stolen by Mehmet Okur 3:40 HOU Bad pass turnover on Tracy McGrady 1:56 HOU Lost ball turnover on Rafer Alston, Stolen by Derek Fisher 1:56 HOU Personal foul on Dikembe Mutombo 22.0 HOU 3-second violation turnover on Yao Ming 4thqrtr 4:06 HOU Lost ball turnover on Tracy McGrady, Stolen by Mehmet Okur 2:48 HOU Lost ball turnover on Yao Ming, Stolen by Andrei Kirilenko
Who is the superstar for Jazz? Ak47? Boozer? or Okur? Even Bench outscores us 33-0. Our scrubs were ABLE to score and they will. Gundy and his game plan is too stubborn sticking with Yao/T-mac. Jazz is changing, we are not.
