    Not at all.

I just think Silas needs, at a minimum, till the all-star break to show the improvements most of us expect.
I give him till the end of the year.

But, if by then, things look as they do now, I am 100% in favor of cutting his a$$!

We're running Harden-ball with the great value version of Harden and minus the arm hook bait fouls, minus the 3 point shooters, minus a decent coach.

Silas is a joke of a coach, anyone doesn't see it is under 25 or just plain stupid

Newsflash, a bad team or the worst team ever could still win games... it's the NBA after all.

Of course it's on the coach. If he sees they only want to play hero ball he can always put them on the bench. Instead after the game he is quoted in saying KPJ should have the ball more... like wtf game is he watching.

It doesn't take time to run plays - Silas just has to call them. If I saw some sort of structure out there that is just being executed poorly I would have a different perspective but literally the entire offense is meaningless down screen that doesn't create an advantage gives way to a high pick and roll that also doesn't create an advantage, everyone rotates and the next guy at the top of the 3pt line tries the same thing. There is no growth where there is no attempt.

It's a simple system - but I haven't seen any evidence of "plays" being run or a larger tactical coaching move to get specific players the ball, or wrinkles to free up guys off the ball. It's weird though because I saw it in the preseason - there were real plays. But now? Nothing....but I watch the opposing team too and they have legit plays they are running so I don't understand why we can't do the same even occasionally.

yep prolly someone too young to appreciate years and time....silas/stone stole 3 years of our lives already...
but what they give back in comedic relief is perhaps enough as a compensation... maybe they should be let to continue this clown show afterall.... ;)

    agree

How are you feeling about stone ?

he’s the reason Silas is in this position .

And I can’t help but think that if Silas was
Coaching for wins he prolly wouldn’t have pulled garuba (who helped bring us back into the game ) and put in nix (dumpster fire )

what wrong with the rockets id that there’s a coordinated effort to lose and it’s been going on for 3 years .

As for how I feel about stone ... if we don’t win 41 games next year I’d can him in a heartbeat

sucking sucks . The rockets intentionally put out a **** product as part of a strategy to eventually be great again .

we need to see some progress

putting up stats at the end of the year vs other tanking teams and teams resting guys is not that .

Hell I don’t even get to see other teams best players play , or play hard .

There not much to enjoy In the game so far . I liked seeing that effort from garuba . Eason only gets 10 minutes a game . It’s mostly green and kpj jacking up shots , Other teams letting us hang around for 3 , then killing us .

given that we’ve been told that the season was about development and the future for the last 2 .. well , I wanna see some

I’d like to watch the rockets for the game going on and not start looking forward to a top 4 pick a few games into the year .

Now , that would normally be reactionary . But , we been bad y’all .

Silas isn’t playing the combo to win . I’m not sure what our development goals are .

Silas should be coaching for his job . I’m worried if this is that .

Rockets are gonna have to earn back a lot of goodwill from fans imo . We took a team near the top and it’s now complete **** . Some rational ppl will say it might be 5 more years before our recent picks finally hit their stride

stone doesn’t want us to judge the harden trade for 10 years

All i know is I’m not spending a dime on this team till we can win 25 ****ing games a year

Nothing is wrong with the Rockets outside a lack of experience. People just need to be patient and not expect 19-22 year olds to play like 26-29 year olds

"LOL what did you expect this team is a bunch of young kids you can't win with young kids."

"We need another high draft pick and more young kids."

I think competent, solid, but not very innovative.
If Stone is replaced at some point, I expect his successor to be more aggressive and assertive.

We have improved over the off-season we are much better with free throws, rebounds and turnovers from last year however we are bad in the total assists per game and Field Goal Percentages. Why? We are doing too much iso ball and we do not have a point guard. Solution? Rockets believe in Porter as a point guard so we need to run the offense sometimes through Sengun, he is a elite passer and we are not using him at all. Sengun is a double-double guy and he is a legit 20 and 10 player. He is not a dominating center but a good offense center. I know that Porter is allowed to shoot 20 shots a game but Sengun not Jabari needs to shoot 15 times as Gordon. He is a very good efficient shooter and a great passer.

    1. Coaching matters. Player for Player do you think the Spurs are better than us? or are they simply better coached?
    2. Stone is still an incomplete at this time. We have to see how things develop. Also this is again interactive. If I buy you the best ingredients - you still can burn the meal.
    3) It's IMO about played development. At this level the difference between mediocre and good is the environment. Wiggins looking like a #1 draft pick again. Jordan Poole maybe outplaying his position. Again - Everyone on the spurs players better than expected IMO.
Do the Rockets have that type of environment?
Most complaints I see if that players are not playing to their potential or underperforming.

This is not a FIRE Silas post but it is saying he has to grab the reigns and control the culture.
We have had people be G-League ALL STARS but come to big squad and cannot see the court . . . .what is that?
yea yea yea I don't see them in practice but sorry the Rockets have not earned the benefit of the doubt in that department at this point
