Did you watch this game? Watch how T-Mac was being used in first quarter, then how he was being used in the 2nd. In first quarter he was being used in iso's on the wing...unstoppable, like every time this season he has been put there. Then in second quarter, because no Alston, he had to bring the ball up and couldn't get into good scoring positions.

The quitting thing is a bit concerning, though.

JVG got them to overachieve... Adleman has not.

The problem is, even when they overacheive, they're still only a 50+ win team that gets bounced in the first round.

I think they hired the wrong coach. Wrong temperament and wrong system for this group of players. AND, the organization still has the wrong mix of players. Right now, everything is painfully WRONG. Folks there is no one game fix; very likely, they are going to lose at least the next three games. I think it is actually possible that Adelman may get canned, a major trade made, or both. Though I can't remember a coach being fired this early in his tenure. But before the entire season melts down, a drastic move may be made.

If Yao needs a better star that fits with his game then you guys should try to trade T-Mac for Michael Redd and CV.

Enough with the excuses. just like yao, tracy folds under pressure. he just stopped being aggressive. i dont care if uere being doubled. you still attack. when hes that hot(1st quarter) there is no excuse for becoming passive from there on.

McGrady is our best player by a fair margin, and thats why this team sux. he is a laidback goofy eyed loser.

The players are not trying hard and have no confidence in the new coach.

It is all on the players.

Hell no. Hell no. You basically break Tmac into two mini macs with less talents. Hell no.

    Tmac for Kobe.

Exactly DD. it's not adelmans fault that yao is a overrated panzy. or he cant even hit a layup. or tracy is a passive imposter.

What's wrong is a laid back coach leading a team with the two most laid back all-star talents in NBA history (that's my Waltonism right there).

Whatever. But I do know one thing for sure at this point of the season: I miss the hell out of JVG, and I think this team does too (at least I bet you Yao and McGrady do at this point).

Then the mistakes have been here for five six years. Why didn't we suck so much before?

Can Dwight miss a fade away from 2 feet like Yao? Can Dwight make players more than a foot shorter than him look like superstars? Can Dwight turn the ball over every third time he touches it? Can Dwight hold the ball down low where even midgets can swat at it? Can Dwight wait 4 seconds for a double team to come so that he can get the ball stolen? Answer me that!

Its gonna be sad if the Rockets implode yet I think they won't cause they have to much talent on the team I think you guys will play well after the all-star break which all good teams do.

Your arguments have been Yao is soft and plays panzy defense, and Tmac is laid back and goofy eyed. It is idiots like you who contribute nothing to the debate that make this place a painful place to visit.

If you can remember back to last year, Yao was by far the most dominating big man in the NBA. No he doesnt dunk like Howard or Amare, but teams had to double him every trip and he was still a 25 and 10 guy. JVG knew what his players could do and put them in position to do it.

Adelman may be a great coach, but he is a terrible coach for Yao. Yao will never be a good high post player. He cant beat guys off the dribble so they dont fear him driving. That means they can get right up on him so his ability to shoot or pass from there is also diminished. Yet, every game he spends half his time at the high post with very little to show. It would be like a coach demanding Steve Nash post up down low half the game. Im sure that would make him look terrible at times as well.

Adelman's system has made Yao, Battier, and Hayes much less efficient. It completely ruined Luther Head. It has done nothing to solve the problems Tmac has with getting good looks. Steve Francis and Mike James look lost out there, and Scola's strengths are not being utilized either. Most importantly, this team needed JVG's attention to detail and discipline. They seemed afraid to piss him off last year, but with RA no one seems to care one way or the other.

Last year we blew so many teams out. This year aside from the Denver game, there hasnt been one game that we have seemed to be in total control of. Even worse we are getting blown out now, and by two bad eastern conference teams. (Toronto is decent, but played without Bargnani, Garbajosa, and it was Bosh's first game back in weeks).

But again it probably all has to do with Tmac and his goofy eyes.

Have you heard the name "Dwight Howard"?

Of course it's not his fault. It must be the coaches, or teammates' fault the guy turns the ball over left and right, got blocked by everyone in the league, plus the janitor, and couldn't get a rebound to save his life when the game is on the line.

I was watching Andre Miller today and thinking

damn he would solve all our offensive problems. His a sweet passer and his jumper is money. His way bigger than Francis on the court and he can post them up good as well as penetrate. Wish we could swing something for him.
