There is probably damage in the knee but it's not going to get any worse so he can play through it (which it looks like he is) and wait till the off season to have it fixed. Once the season is over, we'll hear that they "discovered" something and will fix it. Maybe he's hit the wall, but there is no question he's not as effective...
Nothings wrong with him hes just falling back down to earth, only a moron wouldve expected him to continue playing as effectively as he has all season long.
He could be favoring abit but he still has the explosion in his game And none of this changes the fact that he was playing out of his head in the early going and wasnt likely to keep it up. Hes a great finisher but the numbers he was putting up in his limited minutes are out of this world.
It seems even more obvious to me that unless hes a superstar in the making hes not going to continue his level of play from the early going. Especially if the team is going to play him more.
maybe it's a combination of his injury and other teams game planning for him and playing to his weaknesses.
LOL- I thought of that too... However he was very explosive in the Golden State game, I think it is more a matter of other teams not letting him roam free, and his confidence not being all the way back in his knee yet. DD
not a good time to hit the rookie wall, when the playoff is right around the corner. Scola's been inconsistent also... harris' barely seeing playing time since the lakers game i think.
He's still a good finisher around tha basket even without tha explosive. he learned how to make a layups at a young age, somethin that plagues scola and hayes at this point in their career
Nothing is wrong with Landry. He just came back down to earth. Obviously we can't expect his high efficiency every single night from a rookie. He'll be just fine.
Bingo. It's been a very long NBA season that he's not used too and to bring the energy that he brought every game as a rookie is just to difficult. Hopefully he'll get his second wind come playoff time, cuz he will be one of the keys for the rockets getting past the 1st round. He's still the best finisher on the team and they will need every bucket they can get in the playoffs.
I disagree. You'd have to be blind to not notice the significant dropoff in his explosiveness since he came back. He was dunking everything, going up high on every rebound, even coming close to blocking some shots. Now he's no more explosive than Juwan Howard, though he's still infinitely better. His energy level is down, which you could attribute as the rookie wall. However, when he misses a bunch of games with a knee injury and comes back without any explosiveness, I wouldn't say that nothing is wrong.
