Spoiler There is no such things as stuff made up. Not when almost everyone was talking about it. Did the media exeggerate Harden and CP3's oncourt beef? Sure, but something was there. The only place that wanted it to be hush hush, the Rockets, so they kept quiet. Those 2 had different opinions about how to play in 'that system'. And they had oncourt differences in the 2nd year. If the system and role players just make up for the deficiencies of JH and WB, yeah, you sure as well not getting the personnel you want. They all want their 7 or 8+ millions. How was I going to make things up when I just retorted to someone's take and just hit 'agreed'?
Spoiler It is when your true superstar is figured out and your second superstar is an inefficient and more athletic version of your first superstar. You dun have the money to spend on anyone significant because those 2 flawed superstars are owed 80 million a year. That makes all your other moves limited. The owner could at least provide more money for those better players. As others have said MDA does run it but it was invented by Morey, so MDA is just the robot that hits the 'Run' button. Maybe it is me who doesn't understand what is going on. But if you keep on harping on 'new personnel' I am curious to see what kind of personnel walks in the door.
Personally i felt harden lost trust in cp3. his sidekick's body kept failing on him when he needs him the most (playoffs vs warriors). Feels like harden is literally coasting rn, since he knows he can't win MVP anymore regardless of what he does.
Michael Jordan is your supporting example of.superstars who instill.confidence and trust in role.player teammates???!!??? LMAO. Jordan was the hardest on teammates humiliating and belittling them in every practice. Jordan's trust had to be earned and he would destroy teammates until that trust was earned. Further Jordan played in the Triangle offense where the ball is primarily touched by only 3 players. You are a moron to the Nth degree.
Harden looks bored every now and then for stretches probably because he's finally realizing his legacy is already cemented. He only ever tries hard when he feels he can at least win an award out of the regular season but after so many MVP ranking updates where he consistently ranks outside of 3 after Giannis, Lebron and Luka, I think Harden just gave up on chasing those regular season stats. I don't blame him at all, he probably just wants to coast until the playoffs but too bad this team so heavily relies on him playing well to succeed, he doesn't have that luxury if we want a higher seed. Tbh, Harden doesn't just do this in the regular season, he does this in the playoffs too. I personally believe it's because he gives up early when he realizes his team isn't good enough to be the favorites of the entire playoffs. He gave up in the Clippers G6 when we were getting blown out and he gave up in the Spurs series because he knew we had to play the 73 win Warriors next round.
I know you're probably young & used to players hugging, dancing & singing kumbaya, but that's what building toughness used to be about. Challenging your teammates, pushing them & getting in faces if needed. This is how Scottie Pippen became great, by Jordan pushing him. Jordan realized he didn't need to shoot 30 times every nite & started trusting his teammates more. Google this I'm the moron, educating YOU on simple NBA basketball history? EVERYBODY knows these MJ stories already. You're the idiot late to the party
So you'd rather Harden score 40 a night with another disappointing playoff exit? Have you watched the last 20 years of basketball? You can't win a championship with one guy holding the ball 95% of the time. We brought in CP to help but Harden started pouting when someone else initiated the offense. Most of his scoring is stat padding, especially when we're blowing teams out and he's still in jacking up 3's. He can still be effective scoring 30pts but contributing in other areas like defense & rebounding
Shifting goal posts again rocketchump?? You cant even keep your arguments straight. LOL, pitiful comeback, try again.
There is no shifting. This year is our best opportunity to win a ring with GS out the picture. As Rocket fans we should expect finals or bust, even though you'll probably settle for anything as long as Harden gets MVP. The expectations this season differ depending on the IQ level of the fan. You need to hold Harden accountable
LOL, you are absolutely bananas right now, how far off the rails are you??? Take your medication and check your eyesight.
Medication for what? Recognizing what we need to win a championship lol. If this isn't your expectation, what type of Rocket are you?
