it's because he had such a good rookie season that his confidence is shot. I think that he had something to prove as a rookie with little expectations on him. Now however, he has the expectation of doing good and he's not handling it well.

Confidence and second year blues. Teams now know his weaknesses and are exploiting it. People are waiting in line to post him up on offense due to his inspid defense.

It's gotten in his head now. He needs to work through it. His ability to shoot on the move is too valuable to give up on.

He's a role player. Role players goes through slumps like this. I never understood people saying he would be anything more than just a very good role player. This is what happens when the fans overrate our young guys.

Chase sucks and just looks lost out there. Every run the opposing team has gone on recently late in the first and third quarter coincides with Chase checking in. I scrutinized every possession while he was in the game last night and he was just absolutely horrid on everything from battling through screens to weak rotations to just challenging the shot. The guy is the biggest liability on the court I've ever seen.

Having said that, Jermaine Taylor better force Chase completely out of the rotation by the time Brooks gets back. He has looked like a pleasant surprise. Not ridding his nuts but he looks to be a solid 15 min per game contributor.

    Does he have a twitter?

Can we bombard his twitter and tell him to stop playing Black Ops?

Maybe his ankle isn't fully all the way there yet.

Just give him some times. One or two shows can't prove anything! Don't forget his 3points

one or two? We're 20 games games into the season now. Thats 1 quarter. That's how long he's been slumping and this isn't counting his not so spectacular preseason play. In the beginning, I though it was his ankle but its been weeks.

i'm done with chase. he can't hit wide open looks. and his defense is poor.

i think he partied too much in the off season.

    send chase to the pine!

I keep thinking back to Luther Head's first year and how he much promise he showed and how fast he regressed

I hope Chase doesn't go down that road

i agree with giving JT chase's minutes (instead of Ish's). But last year, chase really thrived playing with Lowry, who for the most part this season, has been playing with a different unit. I think if nothing else, chase's play will pickup with lowry running the second unit once AB gets back. sometimes when you play with a guy who knows your spots, and most importantly where to pass you the ball directly in your shooting motion, your shot-making ability goes way up.

    just a thought.

Hopefully Bud could keep this up

But the damage is done. The guy was missing for a quarter of the season. A guy who could disappear for so long is not reliable in the playoffs (Luther Head part Deux)

Was having a great game, should have taken him out before Jawad Williams went to town on him.. sheesh. All that athleticism and you can't play defense? I don't get it

Ugh, what little semblance of confidence he regained has just been crushed once again. Rick should have taken him out while he was ahead.

EDIT: btw who the hell is Jawad Williams

Baby steps, guys. Chase helped us win tonight. Yes, Williams was abusing him over and over again down the stretch. But let's just appreciate the shot coming back. The defense will come too.

Real simple, u make Chase play D in the post and perimeter and it takes his offense away. Why, he's scard to death of contact, he shy's away from any rugged play.

    HE'S SOFT AS JELLO PUDDING!
