What's up with those guys who constantly wear a phone on their ear?

A guy I know has an illegal signal jammer. We were at Little Woodrows and he turned it on. All these people got up and walked outside holding their phones up in air. He turned it off and they slowly made their way back in. Then he turned it on again. He says he uses it when he's at the movies, at the gym dealing with blue tooth in-ear people, and the occasional a-hole who wants everyone around him to hear his important conversation.

I made some dude take it out of his ear before I would let him shoot around with me. He thought i was joking.

Last weekend I was at my niece's birthday party at Main Event (the bowling alley/game place), and I saw the ultimate douche bag.

Not only was he wearing the bluetooth earpiece despite very obviously not currently talking on the phone, he was also wearing a tank top and spending his time trying to show off how strong he was at the punching bag game thing.

And to make matters worse, he was not only taking a running start and punching the bag as hard as he could, he would sometimes do a roundhouse kick to the punching bag, ending in a ready stance with his fists up, presumably so he could defend himself should the punching bag decide to finally fight back.

I have a couple of friends who use these. I constantly mock them.

"Is this motion too difficult for you?" (as I raise my hand to my ear.)

Walking around in public with the bluetooth ear piece definitely qualifies you as a huge tool.

Boards don't hit back (neither does a punching bag).

I don't have bluetooth on my phone but I love earpieces they help me when I'm at home and driving. I never use them outside the house tho.

Currently my damn Nokia is broken where I can only talk on the phone with an ear piece. Needless to say I never take my phone out much and it hasn't been too good with the gf.

Usually ppl with those damn bluetooth devices tend to talk too damn loud and it's so annoying cus all they're saying is like "no, you! nu uh! you!" and stupid stuff like that.

I'm a go getter. I'm always on the run. I'm also very important, so people will always need to keep in contact with me. My time is precious, I can't be bothered with talking discretely in public. If I hold up the check out line in the grocery store because I'm distracted, so be it. Also, the business I talk about is so important and interesting that I make sure everyone around me knows it. Now why don't you tell me who looks like the douche now!

Oh wait, hold on a second, I just got another phone call.

Good to know there are other people who hate these people as much as I do.

I own a bluetooth headset, but I only use it in the car, and even then I only use it when I'm in traffic, otherwise, I use the handset.

There is another group of cell phone idiots who also deserve the same amount of ridicule and hate.................... the speaker phone people.

Seriously, turn off the speaker and put the phone up to your ear like a normal person. Do these people not realize how stupid they look walking around holding their phone in their hand and yelling into it like its a walkie talkie? I want to walk up them and slap it out of their hands.

but seriously, having a bluetooth in my ear makes me feel important.

    j.k.

There is this guy at work who wears one but for only slacking off purposes. Often times he'll be playing some sort of computer game at his desk, and when a higher up comes around, he touches his ear and pretends he is talking business to a client. Then he quickly changes the screen on his computer back to some work stuff.

Its hilarious, as only a few people know what he is doing.

    Until now.

And how many idiots will now try it themselves?

That guy takes the douche prize. That is absolutely hilarious. It always strange when someone's idea of being cool/manly was halted and maintained at the 7-8 year old range. And then they are so unaware of it, they believe everyone else has the same idea of what it is to be cool/manly, and would actually admire him for what he's doing.

I want to buy a cellphone jammer, so I can use it in the gym.

There are idiots in there yakking on their cellphones while I am working out...at freaking four o'clock in the morning!

    Where can I get one??

It's illegal. You probably can find them in a flea market or something. But ya, I would love to get my hands on one of those too.

If you use a cell phone jammer, you are just as much of a self-important douchebag as the bluetooth crew, in my opinion.

The bigger question is what you are doing at the gym at 4AM? That is a really weird time, as too late for a workout, and too early for waking up.

Do you have to be at work at 6 or 7AM?
