You can afford to keep rebooting garbage characters that only a dozen people care about when it's just comics, but you waste that kind of money in movies or streaming shows on those niche characters it's a different story.
I don't see many tentpoles, maybe GotG but they gotta redeem themselves. I guess New Cap could be good, but... More 15 second mutant and FF cameos yay?
What's up with their edgy movie titles? I thought Civil War was a title with plenty of cultural baggage I was surprised at. Now they'll have a Jesus reference with Born Again, and troll mojoman with New World Order and Secret Wars?
Jesus reference dog whistle? Are they (WOKE Disney) trying to trick our kids into worshiping men born in the MIDDLE EAST. First Ms Marvel. Now This?! ****.
Well, Civil War was a storyline in Marvel Comics from the early 2000's and Secret Wars was another storyline title from Marvel Comics in the 1980's. "Born Again" was also a storyline for Daredevil back in the 1980's. New World Order is a Captain America comics storyline title that was used in the 1990's. So I guess they've been edgy for a while.
I loved the 2nd Dr. Strange movie…he’s my favorite character tho so I’m biased I did see that Dr Strange and the latest Thor movie which I have yet to see were on the lower end of expectations at the box office although they still did bring in a lot of cash what caught my eye tho is that the latest Thor movie has just a 78% audience score on RT…I’m sure Marvel was hoping for much better after the 3rd Thor movie was such a success…78% is on par with the 1st 2 Thor movies which are some of the weakest in the MCU IMO Phase 4 might be lackluster, but it looks like they’re saving the best for last Phase 4 been out in the desert skin shriveled up, lips all crusty, vision blurry, about to pass out…but in the distance, here comes BP2 to the rescue
I have been trying to watch the last Spiderman and I can't get into it, the way they combined the multiverse was just too slapstick and the entire tone of the movie is off. It's like they tried to make a comedy movie in the MCU. Have only made it through the introduction of the Shocker does it get any better?
I think it's the third best MCU movie, period. Avengers Infinity War and Endgame being 2 and 1, respectively. Cap Winter Soldier being 4.
I went in fully expecting to love it due to the reviews plus my own bias (Spiderman is my favorite MCU character). Maybe I'm subconsciously over it (the MCU), and my conscience self doesn't know it yet. I actually really liked some of the more unique streaming shows (Loki and Wandavision), but the more standard fare just can't hold my interest anymore (Hawkeye). And then of course some of the content is just cringe-worthy bad (She-Hulk).
So, did you like it? I have not had any problem with most of the Spiderman movies until the Mysterio one and even then it was watchable, but this turned me off from the beginning, all of that "banter" at the start was just too much.
