He played like a monster in the preseason. It could be a slump, but very odd time.

You're right, Harden should go back to being a 6th man. I mean THAT'S how he got to the Finals to begin with. Imagine, a fresh Harden coming off the bench in the 4th quarter to give us 6 quality minutes and 10 points. Can't wait!

I think we all know he’s had a problem with alcohol and partying. That’s no secret.

    Rockets confident of Harden turnaround

D’Antoni was not at all concerned about James Harden’s shooting to start the season. But with Harden making 3 of 26 3-pointers, D’Antoni played along with those inclined to panic.

"He's awful,” D’Antoni said. “I don’t think he’s had enough games for us to trust him.

“I mean, that’s the last thing I’m concerned about. He goes through stretches like this. That’s one thing you can take to the bank – he’s fine.”

James is just getting adjusted to the new rules. I think getting those early foul calls and free throws get him in rhythm and it'll take a couple games for him to adjust. Those quick early foul calls also forced defenders to not guard him as tight. We'll see.

The new offensive foul rules are messing with his rhythm on top of him in a shooting slump.

He feels like he can't drive because he gets called for offensive foul, he tries to sell calls by falling over and the refs don't fall for it.

He then tries to do his stepback but since he's in a huge slump, everything bricks and he keeps trying to shoot his way back (which isn't working).

On top of all that, he shows no effort on playing perimeter defense (except gambling for steals) until late in the game when it's on the line.

The worst part imo, is he raises his arms when other team gets an open layup or 3 to blame his teammates. He needs to set a better example first.

Good thing Westbrook is here instead of CP3 to save us. Westbrook will have his bad nights (they will for sure happen), just hope it doesn't happen before Harden fixes his problems. If it was CP3 here, he'd probably be injured and can't score consistently enough to carry the team.

the idiocy of some people on here is astonishing...people will literally pull stuff out of their ass based off of nothing and act like what they’re saying is reality

Harden decided that now is the time to show up to games drunk or do drugs (something he has no evidence of doing whatsoever)...some people just need to stfu

He'll be fine. I think he's doing most things right, just that his shot is off at the moment.

Yeah, I will say he definitely improved against the Warriors in last season's Playoffs vs the one before. He just didn't hit big shots like Curry and Thompson did in clutch time.
