How much fun would it be to take this contraption to Lake Travis or Conroe, roll up on the party cove of idiots, and watch the reactions?
What's going on with the black space, top-right-corner? That ain't no shark. At least let me know what I'm up against. "One of the few advantages man has over other animals is the ability to choose the way to bring about his own death." -- Peter Benchley, "Jaws" "Suppose you fell over with this fish. Is there anything you could do? Sure. Pray. It’d be like falling out of an airplane without a parachute and hoping you’ll land in a haystack. The only thing that’d save you would be God, and since He pushed you overboard in the first place, I wouldn’t give a nickel for your chances." -- Quint, to Hooper
Below is an excellent and short (8 minute) history of the fleet carrier USS Saratoga (CV-3) which I believe was in this test, as well as another. She survived the 1st, but I think this one sunk her. My father served on the Sara for a time during World War 2 before going on to the Philippines, where he installed radar systems on large warships as part of a 5 man team of radar experts. This was during the campaign to take back the islands. The gentleman who makes these videos on YouTube does an amazing job. He has a very dry sense of humor. Highly recommended.
